No problem - with the Genius BL Touch Mod!
The Genius is already prepared for the installation of a BL Touch Sensor and can be easily upgraded with a new firmware.
But which firmware is the right one? I looked at some alternatives and tested two of them.
Which firmware, from my point of view, is the best - you will learn in this video.
I also show you how exactly the installation and setup works until the first print with BL Touch.
Make sure, to dont forget, to put G29 after G28 in your slicers start code, to enable BL Touch bed leveling.
When compiling, the Nozzel/BL Touch XY Offset may need to be considered/coordinated. You can do this in the configuration.h in line 783 + 784, the definition explanation can be found in the lines 795-782.

Thanks for taking the effort to record this. Not many people seem to be doing so with this printer, and there's enough different from the Sidewinder that there are pitfalls using material related to that printer as a guide for working on the Genius. I have to replace the mainboard on my original Genius. I'm wondering if it is worth the effort to try to replace with a 32-bit board instead of 8-bit board. Do you have any thoughts on that?

to be honest - my opinion - as long you stay on marlin 1.x and dont change to marlin 2.x, I dont see a big reason to change from 8bit to 32bit board. This Genius classic, with the modification in this video, is still one of my best printer I have and produces the same quality with the same profiles like me Genius Pro. Best regards.

Hey its working and its amazing. Did you noticed the motor output more noize? Diffrent from the stock firmware. Its like high scratch noise. Maybe need to update something?

Hi, I had a little difference in how the motors sounds by traveling - but not a scratching sound. I'm not sure where it could come from. Maybe one if the drivers is a bit mispowered? Happy printing

@@3dprintpassion I think, but not sure that the speed of moving from a to b on x and y is faster than normal and that why the motors generates more heat and noise. I will try contact with the maker. But for sure leveling issues gone 😊

I assume this is because you unscrewed the panel, sides may be not sealed enough. Try placing something under the panel (between table and the panel), so it pushes the panel and reduce the vibration.

Hello and thank you. If you have done the installation and before the first print, is the best time to do the pid tuning. This will ensure, that the temperature will be as constant as possible during your prints in future. Happy printing.
