In this video I'll be upgrading my Artillery Genius 3D printer with a BL Touch. This upgrade allows auto bed leveling with mesh compensation.
This means that you mostly never have to worry about manually leveling your bed again, and that you can now get a very good first layer even if your print bed is slightly warped.
To complete this upgrade, you'll need:
- A BL Touch. I ordered mine from Banggood: www.banggood.com/Original-BL-...
- Waggster Mod BL Touch firmware and mount STL files: 3duk.co.uk/index.php?action=d...
- The mount with the improved fan duct I used is no longer available on Thingiverse unfortunately. Here's an alternative: www.thingiverse.com/thing:371...
- The TFT (touchscreen) firmware: github.com/wgcv/RAWR-TFT-Firm...
- 2 M3x20 bolts, one M3x10 bolt, one M3 nut.
Doing this upgrade requires you to open the case for your Artillery Genius. This may void your warranty.
As mentioned in the video, I also tried to use this TFT firmware but was not able to get it working: www.thingiverse.com/thing:429...
