I don't know if it was just me, but Jon and Sansa's reunion felt more heartwarming than Jon and Arya's reunion which I thought was strange because Sansa never really respected Jon until she lost most of her family. Also, Jon and Arya were a lot closer than Sansa and Jon.

i totally agree! i think it was because jon didn’t know sansa was there, so it was more of a shock to him. and with arya, he knew she was there so it wasn’t a shock to him. still loved their reunion.

Actually it was because Sansa was happy to would gain more power with him by her side. With Arya, she got scared, she wouldn't be the only lady of witerfell anymore.

Probably because the show writers messed everything up, so the bonds and ties we grew to love were sort off messed up by this point. And also Sophie is an amazing actrice, all her reunions were just top notch stuff.

All these stark reunions yet Jon and Sansa's remains the best and most heartfelt. Two characters who never had any interaction in the show previously!

I think it was because Sansa had been through so much and the Boltons were after her. Plus Jon didn’t expect to see her so he was so shocked. For the first time in years Sansa was actually around someone should could trust. At least Arya had some trustworthy allies throughout her adventures even if she encountered a lot of danger and uncertainty. I don’t think Sansa had a single person she could fully trust after her dad was killed.

I think it’s so beautiful. They were never close and they had both been alone so long. After all of that time they saw each other and knew that they shared so much of the same pain that their past never mattered. They looked at each other and saw their family.

I think it's because of the background music. The song behind Sansa's and Jon's reunion was heartfelt. This was just silent and awkward.

The audience needed to see that, to forget that she didn’t like him when they were kids and that animosity all melted away bc of the horrors they had been through. Those first few moments they forgot every ill will from their childhood. Arya and Sansa and Arya and Jon don’t have to be that emotional bc they were already bonded stronger than Sansa and Jon were before all the bad stuff

@@a.syafiab Aye. All the Great Houses suffered terrible losses: The Tyrells were wiped out! The Martells were wiped out! The Baratheons bárely restored with Gendry. The Lannisters only had Tyrion left. House Arryn with a spoilt lil brat, Robyn to lead, still reasonably intact: Closely allied to the North. House Tully: Edmure, bit of a mockery in his incompetence, but also, Closely allied to the North. The Starks of Winterfell: Sansa eventually rose to Lead(big fanservice imo), Jon 'exiled', bit ridicoulous, as Bran sat on the Iron Throne, he could have pardoned him, as soon as the Unsullied left. Arya to travel and discover the Western Sea's. The Stark's familyline mostly survived, ánd ruled Westeros!

agreed! i hope they have the same endings in the books. although i hope they do Jon’s a bit differently. i think he should go back up north because he wants to, not because he was exiled. GRRM also needs to explain Bran’s ascension to the throne a whole lot better…. there needs to a good reason for him to be picked over ALL of the other candidates.

I actually really liked this scene. Sansa hugs Arya and Arya doesn't really react, because A) They were never really close to begin with, and B) She's a cold-hearted killer now. But after a brief conversation and some shared experiences and a mutual respect for each other's survival through unbelievably bleak circumstances, at the end it's Arya who goes back in for the hug.

this is my opinion: I think the reason why it felt more heart warming because it was the first stark reunion. We've been waiting for so long for the starks to catch a break that I think we all agreed that Jon and Sansa's reunion was a relief beyond measure and it felt that things will start to go right for the starks this time. Sansa and Theon character development were the ones that I enjoyed the most; Sansa was a brat that envied women in kings landing and enjoyed fairytales at the start. She may have been a brat to Jon as a child, but I'm sure after everything she went through in KL and the Boltons, she learned to love and value home and the people in it.

@@EduardoGrassoTV As others have said, I haven't seen a show ruin its legacy the way GofT did. It went from pop-culture obsession to "I don't want to talk about it anymore" so quickly. I think I'll go back and rewatch at some point, but I think I need more separation from the massive disappointment of the final season.

Totally random but anyone ever notice that Sansa and Robb were similar in both personality (proud, confident, entitled when they were young) and appearance - taking after the Tully side while Arya Jon and Bran were similar in appearance (dark hair, darker eyes) and personality - taking after the Stark side. And Rickon? Well who knows lol

Well, it makes sense, as the eldest children, Cat definitely made sure to oversee their upbringing as soon as possible. There wasn't as much attention on Arya or Bran (Rickon was still very young), so they were allowed to be more wild (and Jon did as he liked, Cat certainly did not care as long as he was out of sight). Appearance wise it is actually a bit of a change from the books, where only Arya and Jon have the Stark looks, all of the other children take after the Tullys.

How Arya and Sansa's reunion should have been: Arya: (laughing maniacally) ....and then I carved up his children, cooked them into a pie, fed it to him and slit his throat! Sansa: (chuckling) well I had him tied to a chair, fed him to his starving dogs and watch every last bit of his flesh eaten!

I always loved that, despite the fact they argued with each other and were completely opposite from one another, both Sansa and Arya respected and cared about each other. That's a real sibling relationship.

I did not appreciate this scene enough for the first time. We did not see them for a while together. But when you remember how their relationship ended severel years before... this is a full-scale drama. They are adults, so they do not care about childish anger any more... but they also did not forget. They don't know what to believe, how much they can trust each other - yet later they decide to do so. The tension here... amazing

Only thing I find weird in this reunions are that they only seem to miss their father. They never mention Robb, Rickon or Catelyn. I am pretty sure the showrunner just forgot about them. Looking forware to the books to fix all of this.

So much stories divided into different characters could carry a whole individual show based on their own archs, and somehow HBO dared to separate them for almost 10 years to deliver to us the Best TV ever made. I thought I dont going to be alive to witness another production to be close as GOT Ever, I just feel grateful to be here since the first day to enjoy this masterpiece.

I love the stark reunions, but this one seemed different, we know Arya and Sansa always fought like cat and dog and Arya is a mysterious assassin and all grown up, but here Arya was just happy to see her big sister, she turned into a kid again.

Its Martin's fault. The show ended horribly but at least D&D finished. Martin was supposed to finish the series before the end of the show. He has yet to finish ANY BOOK during the entire showrun

@@ronanwalsh7024 sounds like you're one of the ones watching the show through rose tinted glasses 😂😂 The ending was abysmal. I still love seasons 1-6 but the drop in writing quality for seasons 7 and 8 is massive. I've read the books 3 times, and I've watched the show countless. I'm not a sheep, I'm just a filmmaker with a higher national diploma who knows what a competent script looks like. Season 7 and 8 ain't it, I'm afraid. If you don't believe me watch Supercut Delight's "Game of Thrones Season 8 but it's devoid of logic". There are a decent amount of sequel videos too. You'll see exactly where me and every other person who hates the final season is coming from.
