China and Bhutan agreed to “push forward” the implementation of a three-step roadmap to settle their border dispute on 13 January 2022. According to a joint statement issued by both nations, the 11th Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on the China-Bhutan Boundary Issues was held in China’s Kunming city from 10 to 13 January. Bhutan is a sovereign nation and needs to have good diplomatic relations with it's giant neighbour China. It makes sense. Historically Bhutan China relations goes back centuries. Just look at the dragon on Bhutan's national flag .

Over the last year India has told govt of Bhutan that there is no immigration gate in eastern Bhutan at Samdrup Jongkhar. There used to be a immigration crossing pre covid when foreigners used this route to enter Bhutan. Does this mean India is endorsing China's claim on eastern Bhutan? Why did India remove the immigration office? China is making mad claims, but is India endorsing it??? Sounds crazy but actions on the ground by India and china seem to indicate it.

For India to endorse these claims it will mean endorsing China's claim on west Arunachal pradesh(Tawang, Kameng etc.), Since china does not share any land border with these newly disputed areas in Bhutan. So that is not the case. The closure of Immigration office must be because of other reasons. Rest assured If there is any talk between Bhutan-China, India will be involved from Bhutan side, all these things will be behind the scene nonetheless.

The chinese first made this claim 2 years ago and about 1 year back the Indian Govt closed the immigration gate. I find it hard to believe India endorses this mad claim of China but the chronology of events almost seems to indicate it. I hope it is somethings else and the immigration gate reopens as has been the case for the last 20 plus years.

Uyghurs do not speak to the media even after leaving China due to the fear of retaliation by Chinese authorities, he said. Then stop playing politics, Indian embassy in Bhutan puts hand into anything. High problem or small problem the Indian ambassadors who came and went are always hated at the government level, and check the constructions happening in Bhutan by India, nothing is happening everything is filled with Indian corruptions. So high time india should think about stopping dirty games and give genuine friendship to Bhutan.

India should take the bull by the horns and assure Bhutan they will recover and defend their territory. This will also have the effect of assuring our other allies/neighbours especially Nepal, Mauritius. Maldives and Seychelles that India has their back and they dont have to bend to Chinese bullying.We need to be more aggressive and also at same time need to strenghten the Navy, & and the western sea i.e. Andaman and Nicobar bases. At the same time need to make claims on Coco islands as being part of Andamans. Nehru gifted to Myanmar as part of British agenda, These had fallen under INA control after the Japanese invasion during WWII. they were earlier given to British Burma when it was seperated from British India in 1937. British were also planning to give Lakshwadeep to Pakistan and the Andamans to be taken on a long term lease with the latter supported by Australia as well. These were thwared by Sardar Patel or else just like maldives we would have a british base in the Andamans.

What are we to consider about China, when it doesn't want a conflict but a confrontation? India has no option but to build up its military preparedness, and that doesn't help China in any way. By the way, who did the British negotiate the McMahon line with, the Tibetans or the Chinese? Who does the present Chinese Govt represent among them? Were the previous Chinese Govts' as legitimate as the present one run by the Chinese Communist Party? Those were imperialist govts', which don't have the same legitimacy as the Communist Govt today. Did the Communist Party inherit the Govt of China, or take it by force, albeit with the support of the Chinese? Did the Tibetans support the takeover by the Chinese Govt? Do the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan want the sovereignty of China, as do the people of China? How can China demand sovereignty over lands ruled by different govts'? Does China like to rule over territories like Xinjiang and Tibet, and do they want more of the same?
