Even though I was hoping for a time skip; or him reuniting with his dad..I feel like this ending is exactly what Ash and Pikachu are meant to have. Him going on a new journey, where ever that may be, is just fitting for him. Ash doesn’t need to battle or do anything crazy he just wants to be friends with all Pokémon and be a true master in that regard. I pretty much spent most of my morning on Twitter reminiscing about the anime; how I got into it and just thanking Ash and Pikachu for all the memories. I wished we could still be your ever present companion Ash..but it’s time for us to become Liko and Roy’s cheerleader on their quest. Sigh..wasn’t expecting to feel this emotional over him leaving but mannnn!! 😭

Holy Crap! Pidgeot coming back made me cry tears of joy! I thought Ash had long forgotten about this Pokemon, in much the same way as his other released Pokemon, like season 1 Haunter, Primeape and Butterfree!

Tracey Spoke!!! Pidgeot is BACK!!! Can’t wait to see how this finale turns out in English Dub soon. Ash and Pikachu continues traveling to the unknown with Team Rocket back together again resuming their pursuit. That’s a fine way to close out Ash’s story by going to the unknown. Liko is next in line to start this new generation of the anime.

Or they could keep team rocket splitting up then they travel to paldea because they hear of something that will make them legends. Jessie James and meowth all pose as students in the academy. It could be a running gag for a bit of them trying to one up eachother and clashing, but then they become a team again. They also decide to chase after captain pikachu.

They technically are still villains so maybe they could be in the new series. Team rocket are too funny to be let go for good.

25 years ago was the start of the Pokémon journey for Ash and Pikachu. 25 years later Ash is finally the championship and #1 and Pikachu is still with him. Ash's run as the main protag is over, but he is far from gone, as he is gonna make the occasional cameo, either in a speaking role, or as a background character, hence the open ending.

I may not be following this franchise as much as I used to (heck, the only reason why I returned to my old Pokemon games with the intention to finally finish them after all these years was because of Ash and Pikachu leaving), but watching this final episode with them did make me quite emotional. Ash and Pikachu's first started their journey a month before I was born, and watching their journey come to a close kind of makes me feel like a part of me has also come to a close, but when one journey ends, another begins. While I don't this miniseries was as satisfying as I believe it could've been as I wanted to see Ash reunite with the rest of his companions and friends one last time, this is still an emotional way to end the journey of this iconic duo. Ash and Pikachu have shaped the childhoods of so many people, including me and my brother, and I will always be grateful to them for that I wish that the new protagonists will continue their legacy as strongly as they can. I don't know what the future holds for Ash and Pikachu or if we'll ever see them again, but this much I can tell. Their journey was definitely packed with nonstop action, millions of laughs, heart-pounding perils and endless excitement. Together, they have encountered fantastic friends, evil enemies and have met creatures beyond their wildest imagination. And now that their story had unfolded, they have unlocked the magic and mystery of a most wondrous place. The incredible world of Pokemon.

I was really hoping we had some kind of last resolution with TR . Like admit that the chase was always the real fun of their fights and somewhat make peace with Ash and Pickachu . But they are just back where they started . Its sort of sad since we saw their life’s before TR and in someway if things would have different they could have been friends.

I think we didn’t because they could still be in the other anime. They still are in team rocket and still stealing Pokémon. they should make them all travel to paldea because they heard of something that could make them legends and then they clash and fight on who is best. Then they make up.

I didn’t cry but i was sad. It just didn’t feel right that ash is gone forever. It just felt empty something that was part of a weekly thing now gone. I wish they ended with short seconds clips of each of ash companions. Before ended with ash and Pikachu walking for the last time

Ash deserved a better ending than the writers gave him. A character whom brought so much enjoyed too the anime for 25 years and that is what he gets? Shame on the writers. I am going too miss Ash. The anime will never be the same without him. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories Ash! 😢

Maybe not. They technically split up. They are still in team rocket, but by them splitting up I don’t think they will try and catch pikachu. They could bring them into the new anime by having them all go to paldea because they heard of something that could make them legends and end up clashing and fighting on who is best and then make up. Maybe they end up trying to catch captain pikachu instead.

@@bluebubble229 a better ending would be for the trio to finally steal Pikachu and give it to Giovanni Ash would track them down to Team Rocket HQ rescue Pikachu Ash would finally battle Giovanni and Giovanni would show his true colors to the trio they help Ash defeat Giovanni Team Rocket collapses ending on a hopeful note as Jessie, James, and Meowth now have to find better lives for themselves.

Kinda crazy, as a kid, I watched Ash and Pikachu start their journey, now as an adult, I'm watching the end of their journey. After 25 years, its surreal that Ash and Pikachu are leaving. Only thing I can say is, Thank you Ash and Pikachu for the wonderful journey! I am thankful for so much this anime offered me, I can't express it in words. Only thing left to say is….Lets Go, new adventures await. Looking forward to the new anime. Still mad that Pokemon could have did better with tying loose ends in Satoshi story, but thats for another time. Thanks Raf for the great content you made over this series. Looking forward to more!

I'm thinking Ash would go complete every pokedex very slowly only catching pokémon that want to travel with him. That way he'd be a pokémon master by befriending and growing with each species of pokémon. Then he could have a book written about his adventures with Tracy doing the art for it.

After 25 years as much as I loved Pokémon it just feels like they’ve done exactly what they always have and taking the easy way out instead of giving Ash a true ending, it feels like they left it open so they can go back if the new season doesn’t work out

It all began when I came back from school and opened the TV. Huh, A giant Arbok robot was chasing Ash, Misty and Brock. Then a mouse used a move and A giant Lizard came out of nowhere. It seemed interesting. As the time passed Pokémon came more close to my heart. I still can remember how much was I excited when I got to know that I can download Pokémon episodes and can watch freely without thinking of the airing time or missing some scenes. Oh! That was great. But after XY series I didn't get the Hindi dub. But that wasn't a problem to me. I started watching the English dubbed episodes. Now, I was in Japanese 😌 What a change. Everything went right these years. This was my real story of Pokémon.....

It was a great ending! I would say I was more emotional during the battles with Cynthia and Leon especially in comparison to the aim to be a master series - but alas as much as Ash is leaving the anime does that include movies???

It's a good ending, but I'd wish we've got to see his other Pokémon that he released in the past as well as finally seeing his dad, this short series was okay, could of done more or one more episodes, but Ash will come back at some point, maybe a short role and conclude other stories too, but it has been 25+ years and his dad did not come home with moomoo milk, but seriously, what a good ending and wished his Primeape returned too and such, so yeah

Man you're generous. This ending is just bad. At least with the 25 years of the buildup. If being "Pokemon master" is about his bond with Pokemon then why does the show always repeat with the gyms and league plot? They could have just tried different ways on how can they implement that concept instead of revolving around the same shtick. Like what's the point of tring to become a world champion if Ash has always displayed that kind of wisdom? Not to mention he once said that being a world champion is just "one step" in his goal. And wtf happened to the other companions? Not even a simple closure to anyone other than the OG trio? And Ash's dad too. There are still lots of plot holes that need to he filled lmfao. But on the bright side, at least we can move on to something fresh.

I cried only twice for the pokemon franchise. One was Pokemon Adventures Pryce reuniting Lapras (called La Glace) with it parents (La Prus and La Pris.). The other was seeing how much people love ash. You made me cry. Your the first pokemon youtuber to get me to cry. 😭

Ash will always have a special place in my heart since he was my gateway to Pokemon, but I'm glad they're doing away with him since I haven't been particularly invested in him since AG. (Even when that endless loop was shattered in Alola with the formula change and him winning a League, the damage was already done, y'know?) I'm eager to see where they go from here.

Ash was apart of alot of people childhood and life! At least 3 generations have experience the journey of ash & pikachu! Seeing their journey end is so weird, I feel like like I am in a dream of some sort. I never thought they would replace ash but this is reality. After so many years & so many moment we have to say goodbye to a important part of our life

Oh man jeeze what an episode definitely used a lot of tissues 😭 I’m happy that Tracey and Ash actually communicated, Gary’s Umbreon returned, Ash and Pikachu reunited and got saved by Pidgeot. Just so precious 😭 What I’m a little disappointed about is that it just didn’t feel like an ending, there’s so many loose ends still like reunions for example… they could of given us a glimpse into Ash’s future with him visiting Serena or other friends or him returning to Alola to reunite with Nebby and Naganadel… more could of been done in this series imo!!! In saying this, I already miss Ash 😭 but I am excited to see what the future holds.

What a incredible journey. Truly it had ups and downs but i t was truly incredible. Pidgeot coming back. Ash getting his answer for his goal. Pikachu being supportive always. The montage of him roaming near his home town for adventures endlessly before going on a journey with a now clear goal on a never ending journey. It's truly poetic and full circle complete of ash's and pikachu's arc. Will miss them. But glad they were there for this long time. #thankyouashandpikachu

With this open ending this clearly will allow the Pokemon if the new anime is a flop to be able to pick up where this episode left so I'm thinking they're writing ashes adventure continuing as a backup plan or they're using the new anime to give them time to think of how to continue a placeholder as some people would say

26 years man I feel old...... considering I'm old as anime itself thats to be expected cant believe its over it feels unreal im seriously crying here That being said as final episode....... at least for now it feels too safe yes it gave answers to some things and all but I feel it could have been so much more and better and ending itself did not feel like this it is goodbye forever like where are all Ash's other companion's or rest of the pokemon's or rival's we did not see you can do that in black&white anime ending but not in Ash's story ending....... it felt rushed and unpolish but they might have leave door open for possible return so there is that...... but still you guys could have done better Even with all of this my feelings are huge mess right now #ThankYouAshAndPikachu for making my childhood all the memories and me as person who I am im gonna miss team rocket too it has been honor to follow you all until we meet again & best wishes my friends

@@masterj3644 Even ignoring that the finale is just bad, for a 25 year running show that is. I said it earlier and I'm just gonna sum it up 1. No closure with the other companions. 2. It's like they just rushed the ending and the writers are afraid to even know what "Pokemon master" is. The solution? I guess it's better to finish his story with such a half assed resolution. And that's just the salt on the wound with how half assed this miniseries is. Granted though, I'm with that Ash should stop being milked and the show should get someone new already, but if this is how they're gonna end such a long story then sorry, it's so underwhelming. It's not the worst ending ever but it honestly felt more like an ending of a season than an ending of a whole series.

i havent really been interested in pokemon since diamond and pearl so the ending being mid is no biggie to me but i would've liked to see him reflect more on the friends he's traveled with and for his dad to finally be revealed...but i still have to give credit where credit is due, thanks pokemon team for blessing our childhoods with ash and pikachu🙌

With that kind of ending, I don't think that it will be permanent. I get vibes from that time when the last Dragonball Z Episode was Aires before it came back many years later. With that in mind I can accept that it ist goodbye for now, but with hope that he can make a return, even if it isn't this year or next year. Also, I think that Liko and Roy will only last for one generation as main protagonists, because every charakter that had one of the three regional starter Pokemon as their starter didn't get to stay as protagonists for the next generation. So I guess we will get a new cast for the tenth generation. That's my guess.

This ending with that reveals what Ash thinks a Pokemon master really is kinda made me think how important his rivalry with Paul back from dp truly was. Paul's ideology on Pokemon where the complete opposite of what ash defines being a Pokemon master and if he lost that rivalry way back he wouldn't of made it that far.

I hope Ash comes back because he has to accomplish a lot to be a Pokemon Master with his partner Pikachu who never gave up on evolving to stay a Pikachu for a long time and be as strong as it can be because of kangaskhan I think that's why Pikachu wanted to stay as Pikachu because it was loved as a Pichu and it was love by Ash as a Pikachu as well so that is a lot of love and one little Pokemon I don't blame Pikachu for not evolving because it was love by a Pokemon by human

This last episode was good Ash’s Pidgeot finally returns and is staying with him Tracey returns with a Speaking Role and his Venonat has evolved into Venomoth Ash ha decided that he still has a way to go to become a Master as he feels that Befriending every Pokemon is what will make him a Pokemon master thus showing by Latios not trusting him and while he is Champion of both Alola and the World he is still a Challanger and he gone off on a New journey that will be offscreen while Ash is gone from being the Protagonist but I’m sure we will see him again one day in the future and while I’m sad he is leaving but I’m looking forward to the new series and I’m very interesting in what you have planned for ash in your fanmade videos.
