hi, my ashtanga yoga help sheet says: "With this mantra we wish a peaceful, harmonic world in which there is room for the divine as well as for the human, the powerful shall be virtuous and the high as well as the low shall be blessed equally.

Is the closing chant also taken from Yoga Taravali?

I like it. But why do westerners always have to copy the indian accent when doing chants or using sanskrit words? Why not just use your own accent? It sound affected and acted.
@SarahHarveyExpatOfTheWorld

Isn't the whole point that the Sanksritt words themselves (obviously when pronounced properly) give off vibrations. You don't learn Italian and try to avoid the Italian accent?

it's not about the accent.. this is the proper way to pronounce via Sanskrit. if we used the "American accent" we would mispronounce the words. this makes more sense once you learn how Sanskrit and languages such as Hindi are actually spoken.

Think about how non-native speakers of your native language that have a heavy accent sound. It is, often, very difficult to understand because they are mispronouncing the words. Accents are, only, "nice" when they are subtle. An American accent on Sanskrit words would be a trainwreck.

Disagree. Learning a new language comes with learning the correct pronunciation.
