I am Indian and a girl. My parents are not as conservative and quite open-minded, so we discuss various topics, and the LGBTQ community is one of them. I once asked my dad how he would react if I told him I liked a girl and he said he would support me and love me just the same. Even though I am straight, I cried knowing that my parents would love and support me no matter what. Family is everything and their acceptance means the world.

Yuki is very lucky that she has a very supportive father. She is correct that although the country is becoming more accepting, but India is still conservative. Just the last week a close friend came out, although I already guessed as much. This does not change our friendship as he is a wonderful person. He has however, still not officially told his mother, although he says she already guesses - he doesn't want to cause drama and medical emergency at home.

I am gay and belong to Indian family. Earlier I used to think that being gay is going to be difficult for me but to be honest it has not happened, I have not yet told my family that I am gay but I am living freely. Even I have cute gay couples wallpaper on both my mobile and computer which my family members have seen many times. So I'm sure that they know about my sexuality. There are LGBT pride rallies, lgbt parties where I go freely and enjoy myself. Yes some people from outside object sometimes but I know how to handle them well. I was just worried about my family what they would think when they come to know about my sexuality but now I am sure they understand me. Proud to be a Gay 🏳️‍🌈 And Proud to be a Indian 🇮🇳

As a Pan girl myself, I was a bit apprehensive. It actually took me awhile to watch this one because I kept scooting it down the list. Not in that I ever thought anyone on this channel ever had bad intentions, you all are always so loving and inclusive, it's just such a delicate thing. The decision to tell people. I was also nervous for the Indian girl because that could ruin a relationship. I've seen families torn apart from this kind of thing. But I think you guys all handled it delicately enough and your families and friends are all so supportive. So in the end I did enjoy this.

I'm Chinese. Based on previous interactions, my mom would probably be okay with whatever decision I make relationship-wise, but would insist that I not come out to any other family members. She would probably help me make up excuses to hide my sexuality. I don't think she'd necessarily understand the complicated feelings around attraction and coming out, and I don't think she'd feel the need to be a vocal ally, but I know she firmly believes that there is nothing wrong morally with a consensual relationship, and she would 100% support the fact that I'm an adult and adults can make their own decisions. She might voice certain concerns though, like the fact that I've always wanted kids and the fact that I can be very sensitive to what people think.

I came out as bisexual at the end of elementary school to my close friends and they were like "okay that's fine" but when I moved to middle school and came out there as well, girls who I befriended really were taken back by it and told the school counselor and made a big deal out of it. apparently she outed me to my parents when I was in 8th grade and they didn't mention it to me until I brought up in high school that there was a rumor that I'm lesbian and I was the last one to hear about it cause no one cared to ask and then my mom was like "well you kinda brought it upon yourself since you came out as bisexual in middle school" and I was like WHAT HOW DO YOU KNOW? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING? 😑 my parents really didn't mind but also never told me they know so I freaked out all by myself for no reason about their response 😪

I too said to my mom that i could fall in love with a girl or a guy or with no one. I wanted to see how she would take it but she was extremely open minded and cool about it, she doesn’t care who I fall for or if I won’t have any romantic relationships at all. We always talk about the lgbtq+ community and she listen to me ranting about our still closed-minded country’s politics and she’s too of the opinion that people should be free to love who they want, they aren’t doing nothing wrong. Even when this topic came out when we were talking with my brother about his son (my nephew) being close with another boy (said as if jokingly), my mom and his girlfriend were saying that even if he was gay there wouldn’t be any problems. It’s good and heartwarming for me being surrounded by such accepting and loving family ❤ so I wish for those coming out to not jumping at conclusions that they’ll be rejected. I wish everyone to be freely who they are 🏳️‍🌈

This is so wholesome. I’m pan and I haven’t told anyone but online friends. I still probably won’t tell anyone and just date the opposite gender because it doesn’t feel safe here right now. With all the laws saying it’s ok to harass trans kids and people losing their jobs for coming out or being forced to come out.. I guess it’s just best to not completely be myself right now.

I'm like demisexual (i think) and open to both genders. I have absolutely no idea how my parents would react if I told them I like a girl (I don't like anyone atm). My parents I think overall are supportive of it but the thing is I don't know how they would react if I were to come out. Honestly me and my parents are in a friendly style... We are not the most open. Whether it is a boy or a girl I think I'd find it difficult to tell them. I think they will be fine with whatever I choose as long as I end up happy. They aren't really overbearing parents and I'm grateful for that. And my parents both have watched shows featuring LGBTQ. They do watch American shows as well where it's featured normally without any difference to normal love. Especially my mom I've seen her watch some Indian movies with that. But the question is how would they react if their daughter were to come out. I think they would accept me. We are not the most open so they know if I ever come out it's because it's already done confirmed and nothing can change.

That i never had any boyfriend not because I'm a good girl like they think. I'm afraid to tell them that in the past 20 years i never felt anything towards any men. I don't believe Indian parents would ever say that. That has to be some kind of ultra modern dad maybe like among those 0.1 percent category. To be completely honest my parents would not even think once before rescuing me from cops if I killed someone or even multiple people. My dad would start threatening and bribing everyone and everything so quick it's gonna make your head spin and calling every high up connection he has. Why would you have people on here pretending to be gay and coming out to people?? It's offensive to people who are actually gay, makes it seem like a joke to pull on people or something to pretend you're gay and come out on video. You should have actually only got people who really ARE part of the LGBT+ community for this video.

I'm gay and I don't find it offensive. Please stop painting all gay people as the same. Also, I'd rather watch straight people do this than gay people, since gay people would actually have to deal with any fallout afterwards. And this isn't any sort of gay-baiting because we know they're not gay, the video is very clear, AND they don't treat it like some fratbro shock prank.

@@jdb101585 Congrats, I'm bisexual and I AM OFFENDED. I'm also allowed to state my opinion and that I find it offensive. Please stop assuming your opinion also is the same as anyone else who may be gay as obviously you're wrong. Also, they would obviously ask the people beforehand if they were comfortable with doing that, as they did with these people. The people they were calling didn't know it was fake until AFTER, so they had just as much risk of dealing with fallout from those who they called with them possibly not believing that it was just a made up story for a video either. Don't be so ignorant and naive. It's a clickbait video for sure with the title already, and the fact that I thought I would be getting some heartwarming scenes from people who actually got to finally come out to those they care about, instead of them using straight people to act like it's a big funny joke to pretend to be gay and come out. Now fuck off outta here, thanks.

My ‘coming out’ story was traumatic and life changing in a very bad way. I lost almost all my family and friends because of it and I’ve been having to have therapy for almost 6 years now. Straight people pretending to be gay just for views makes me uncomfortable because it’s not this light hearted for many queers. Please just don’t. It’s the same thing when Koreans call their relatives to tell them they’re dating a black person just to relieve their racism by telling them it was a joke and all for views. it’s so humiliating.
