I have to say that watching this made me appreciate RM's brilliance that much more, but it also saddened me a little. I am 57 and never been very good at learning languages. A few years ago I thought, why not learn Korean? With life happening, I haven’t had time. Now watching this, I'm thinking I would never get to that level to actually understand the multiple layers of his/their songs 🫤. It's a beautiful language. I guess I'll just admire it from afar & rely on translations until I retire 30 years from now & have the time to properly learn it 😄. Thanks again for the video. I love this series!

He sets the bar so high❤. He is whats makes BTS different from other groups. I just wish that more army’s would support his music more. Namjoon is such a GOAT.

My mind almost broke when you explaining his mathematical formula for writing. 🙃 RM is just a genius, and I also feel like I'm lucky to be alive and following BTS at this time in history. RM is truly a poet and an amazing writer, and I can't wait to experience his next piece of art, whether that is an album, a painting, or a book. I have no doubt he will continue to amaze us. Thank you for your videos, they always make me see the members in a different light, and it gives me a new appreciation for them. Borahae 💜

This series is so interesting. RM is a genius for sure. His use of words paint a picture for the listener/reader. He is a poet. It is interesting how he uses words that have different meanings. I too wish I had good knowledge of Hangul. So, Your explanation was very helpful. Will be waiting for your next episode.

Firstly, thank U for an intelligent, articulate analysis, I thoroughly enjoyed your depth of perspective. Wow, I hv only been on the BTS journey since March this year, and I can't even remember how it started, only that I was guided strongly to listen and watch all their videos, songs and their cute, playful antics, but emerging out of them an innate sense of wisdom and new level of consciousness. I appreciate music, all genres but hv not focused on K-Pop before. At first I was perplexed as to why I was obsessed with THEM, and their music touched my soul deeply. I knew it was their rainbow harmony, the meaningful lyrics (once I turned on English translation). I slowly came into the realisation after about 2 months of binge reviewing them, and your comments in particular, have confirmed that they are Starseeds, awakening other Starseeds through their music and presence. They are truly living their genius (Mastery) each in their own way with the Armies of this world. I just wanted to share this with you as its an important time in our history and the shift in consciousness Through their words, actions and deeds is fully impacting a change of heart. BTW I am 63 yrs, an Energy Intuitive and Shaman. So what is so special about RM who is leading the way and the rest of BTS brothers, they understand the impact of vibrational language, thru feelings...activating frequencies using specific words (the maths of the universe) backed with empowering energy (feelings). BTS have been showing up in my Shamanic Journeys in the last 3 months, they came to activate fellow ✨Straseeds✨ In gratitude for your passion and mastery, sharing the love in such a powerful way, Blessings Be, Alyse 🙏🙏🎶🎶🤩🤩🦋🦋💜💜💟💟💜💜🌠🌠

Honestly, that's why I think BTS is too great... They're not famous because they write their own songs but because they are really good at it. Anyone can write but not everyone can write as good. Let's say black pink writes their songs but still it wouldn't be as good because they lack experience and talent. BTS' lyrics is so great that even Koreans have a hard time deciphering and translating it. I'm actually not that into their mixtapes yet, I will have to go with suga first then jhope then RM. I will take my time, I know at my age I'm too dumb to understand RM. I will try his music once I'm in my 30's and has more experience in life. It also saddens me that I won't truly and fully be able to grasp their artistry because I'm not Korean, even if I learn the language, I still won't understand certain context and nuances only Koreans would understand because it's their culture.

I wouldn't completely agree with you about Joke as it's a dis track to those who said he couldn't rap fast and he's saying you are a joke you rap fast but your words are meaningless. He also says his own rap is a joke because he copies them with that line made up of rubbish sounds and gibberish to show he can do the same. At the end he uses the term 'Hit Me' in other words I dare you to come back at me, which of course they didn't. He calls his song a joke the same why we Brit would use the term it's a joke it's sarcasim. It's a F......g Joke I had to even make this dam rap to prove that I can rap fast.

Being new in BTS music, by listening to you I realize I’ve missed a lot. It was during the pandemic that I heard about them but thought I was too old for this music. Nevertheless I decided to listen to the UN speech of RM first. I was blown away. He was talking about me as an ordinary girl from a village in the Netherlands. From then on I started to appreciate his Rap songs. I love and respect all BTS artists for various reasons. By listening to you I learn so much about lyrics and words that I embrace the poetry of RM even more. Even at 71 it’s possible to discover a whole new world.

This was another fascinating explanation. What intrigued me about BTS when I discovered them was their lyrics, but translations miss these nuances which only add to their brilliance. I am really curious about what RM is working on right now. I know during Covid they did songs that were written by others and while they were the fun distraction they were intended to be, the depth and intrigue of the lyrics was clearly missing. When I hear young people in the US talk about BTS (and some other Kpop groups), they connect with the message and the storylines in a way I've never heard discussed with any western pop groups. I often wonder if BTS realizes this depth of their lyrics is part of their appeal, even in the west.

Sorry, I'm catching up on your vids and I will probably spam your comments. Sorry. Hope I'm not too annoying. Just had to point out how counterintuitive and irrational it is to believe to argue the concepts of any albums except the School trilogy and maybe D&W would come from somewhere other than Namjoon's brain when every singe one starting from HYYH was based on the book he was reading. It's a literal direct correlation. I know there is even footage somewhere of him reading HYYH around the SLA time. And it's unlikely any BigHit producers were reading Damien or Ursula Le Guin around the same time as him, Occam's Razor and all.
