I'm not sure how safe it is, but I like that you push the car to the extremes. Let's the average driver know how far to go and still feel confident. Hope things are drying out a bit!

I want this SUV! I was considering going back to a Prius, but not so much the lack of passenger space and so low to the ground, even for a short person like myself. This shall be my next vehicle! I hope it comes to the USA with the same available trims as there.

I’m warming up to this vehicle! Currently, fully loaded Sorento SXL MSRP in the US is about the same (or more) than loaded Telluride SX. Given the choice, I’d go with Telluride SX. Fully loaded Sorento even with hybrid needs to undercut Telluride by $5,O00 to $7,000 in US. Thanks for the update Charlie and I do subscribe.

The logo is fine. I personally care more about the quality of a car than its badge. This is a very nice car btw the interior design and built quality, the exterior styling, its hybrid drive train.. very attractive car in general. 👌👍👍

Logo change is a must. We have owned many Hyundai’s, and I know that Kia has improved so much over the years, but when I see that logo I think of the Kia’s from the 90’s and early 2000’s that were not known for reliability. I haven’t been able to bring myself to buy one as silly as that sounds. I love the Telluride.

I think it looks great. Agree with you about the KIA logo - long overdue for a redesign. The only thing I don't like about the new Sorento is that chrome thing on the C pillar. I would paint that thing black. But I'm excited about this vehicle. I would gladly own one. Love the warranty.

Thanks for the video Charlie! I can see I will need to change the tires if I get one of these, much like I did with the Optima. Eco tires don't make for fun driving in Sport mode, I go for Ultra High Performance All Season tires. It affects the economy but I prefer more grip and performance with a decent amount of economy.

In Malaysia here..Korean brands doesn't get the recognition they supposed to have. Pretty jealous though seeing Kia n Hyundai are thriving not only in Korea, but also Europe and the States as well.

Its mileage is very good

I personally don't like the shark fin C-Pillar and the whatever you call it in between the front fender and driver door front cutline. It would have been so much better without both. Plus, I highly doubt the US will get the digital dash. Especially since it's unavailable on our Telluride and K5 already. Other than that, the Sorento is very impressive.

Does it have a centre diff lock or does it use active traction control to transfer power from slipping wheel to the gripping wheel (by breaking the slipping wheel and transferring power to the wheels with grip). Would appreciate if you may post details on that..

Wow! Nice car. I have been debating whether to buy the new Kia Telluride S AWD (a lil big for my needs) or the new Seltos SX AWD (a lil bit smaller than what I want) until I saw this new Sorento hybrid AWD. Demand for new Tellurides is still strong nearly 2 yrs after it’s introduction in the US. Many buyers in CA are paying upwards of $5000 above MSRP so they don’t have to wait months for their car to be built in Georgia. I have been looking to buy a moss green Telluride S V6 AWD for around $37,000 MSRP, but there’s a waitlist. Only way to jump up the waitlist is to pony up extra cash over the MSRP. If I can purchase this new Sorento hybrid AWD (midline trim like S or EX) for around $30K, I would do it. From the looks of everything, it looks like the new Sorento will also have a long wait list. Looks like Kia employees at the West Point, Georgia plant will have to continue burning the midnight oil to keep up with demand for the Telluride, the new Sorento, and the cool new 2021 K5. I’m assuming the new Sorento will continue to be built alongside the Telluride and new K5 in Georgia.

As owners of two Santa Fe SEL models a 19 and 20 we like the body styling of both over the new Sorento, but we do like the interior and dash much better in the Sorento. Yes the Emblem should be revised to a more modern look, I do agree.

The Sorento 7 Passenger model for North American markets comes with a tether anchor in the second row of middle seats. This allows Americans to install children's carseats in the safest second row middle seating, while families of three children can install carseat 3 across in the safe 2nd row However, the 7 seater Sorento model for the Korean market has removed the tether anchor from the middle seat in the second row. It's because of cost reduction. The 7 seater Sorento for the Korean market has 2 pairs of latch systems applied to the 3rd row seats. However, families with three children can only install two child carseats on both sides of the second row and cannot enter the 3rd row if two carseats are installed in the 2nd row. By removing a very cheap metal tether anchor, Korean consumers with three children have to experience inconvenience. The U.S. market and the Korean market have differences in carseat fixings, and Korea is being discriminated against. everyone's life is precious.
