Thanks for showing me how to make lobster traps

I am one of the many who grew up in Maine and now I've moved away for work. Hoping to come back one day if I can convince my warm weather wife;) . These have been an unusual time the last few months and, well, these videos have brought me so much joy and happiness. I grew up up in the county but also spent plenty of time down the coast. Leroy you remind me so much so many good folks who set a good example for me growing up. Thanks for doing these Thanks for sharing a little bit about the best part of the world the rest of the world. Yes and it’s the law to have runners too! Do to lobster claws sticking down through the bottom of the trap the runners keep the trap high enough so their claws don’t get damaged. Good video !

Things have come along way Leroy. We used to make our pots out of oak slats. Heavy as heck. If we rarly lost Pots somebody will cut our bouyes off

Leroy, do you miss the oak lathe traps? Which fished better, 4 ft oak or today's wire traps?

nice video im learning im starting off already put 30 traps in and only got 3 lobsters i think fishermen pulling my traps so i put wire ties on them will see

Where can I get rubber costed wire? Can the trap be made with the wire without a framework ? Do you have a fish trap also?
