I’m from the UK and we have something called HM Revenue who deals with our tax. A scammer once called me and told me I was going to be arrested because I didn’t file my taxes correctly. What they didn’t realise is that in the UK taxes are taken straight out of your wages so you don’t file taxes here.
@meglea70654 жыл бұрын
Taxes are taken out of our wages in the US, but the government somehow takes more than they are owed from working people, and the IRS typically owes people money back. Makes no sense, but that’s how it’s done.
@DynamoCL4 жыл бұрын
In the UK you still file taxes if you earn income that isn't on a PAYE (Pay As You Earn) scheme. So if you started selling things for profits, or doing freelance work, you still need to declare that income to HMRC - so the majority of the population don't file taxes, but a lot have to.
@crymars58904 жыл бұрын
Meg Lea it’s not that the government takes more than they are owed, it’s usually that people don’t claim any dependents until the end of the year. The diff is sent back to them as a refund. Ex: I never claim myself during the year to make sure I pay more than enough in taxes so I don’t owe and at the end of the year I get the diff back.

That ending really hit home for me… I’ve never scammed anyone or anything like that but I personally know what it’s like to not recognize myself in the mirror and be inside of a lifestyle I hated. But, I’m glad to say that I’m taking those positive steps everyday like Kit was mentioning at the end of this video and I’m so thankful for content like this. Love ya, Kit.

You know, as funny as your video was, I really did appreciate you having a heart-to-heart with that guy at the end, granted he didn't listen to you. But the fact that you tried to get through to him, the fact that you tried to be serious with him and tell him that he is better than this, that I think they need to hear more of. As much as I want to beat the living crap out of scammers, they do deserve a chance at Redemption.

Not neccessairly true if you consider the world instead of USA only.
