Bruh you guys have to stop with "work hard" . He worked joyfully that is why he succeeded . How many people work hard? How many of them succeed? Almost none. Almost. Your mom maybe or your father works hard also and they are not MAYBE millionaires(most people). So please stop working hard and work joyfully . Working hard you will only make bad product and its luck based af.

@@Destroyer19941995 I think Pewdiepie himself has mentioned this, he does recognize that he himself is incredibly lucky. But you brushing off all his hard work and effort is just stupid. Who doesn't know only a few succeed in life? Success is never guaranteed, that's life. Working hard at something you like is still working hard. Working "joyfully" as you say, is a dumb thing to say too, how many people that likes to play games and make content are doing that and we probably never even saw their videos? So are you saying that a broke-ass KZfaqr with 10 subs should continue to do that instead of going out and getting a job that pays bills because he should work "joyfully"?

I remember being 10 and watching Pewdiepie on my Xperia 8. I watched him in my backyard after school, because there was a hornet’s nest in my doorbell and I was too scared to go inside. Its kind of insane, having seen him from the start, then I dipped out once I outgrew him, and now to be back and just seeing how far he’s come. He had about 250k subs when I started watching him. He really helped a young swede pass time until his dad would come home and open the front door.

So many people in life young and old are never taught to know when to stop. And stopping doesn't always mean quitting. The thing I like about what pewdiepie is basically saying is "Im not focusing on growth any more. Im content, more than content with where I am right and what is right in front. Im going to just go forward doing what I like to do and for the people who stick with it and come along, awesome. And if not, thanks for the memories but Im ready to make myself my priority vs the channel." That's huge honestly. Good for him. I hope more people in life can learn to be satisfied with what they've accomplished and learn that its okay to stop "pushing".

It must be so liberating not having to bow to the algorithm gods and just do whatever you like. I'll be following along Asmon's journey. Follow the progress if his hair loss, watch the first headshave stream... it is going to be so much fun. See what grandpa Asmon is going to do next.

Chats probably memeing when they are saying kapp when pewds said that he didnt do it for the money. you gotta remember he blew up around 2012-14 where youtube barely had any adsense and sponsors are pretty rare, but he was still uploading everyday. i mean he was working in a hotdog stand saving money to upgrade his pc, he just really love doing youtube. edit: for 17:03, not really but thats one of the reasons he moved to japan because he said he barely get recognized when going out.

Just stating facts but when I visited China back in 2004 the Chinese paid $4.29 USD for game time on WoW or 30 chinese yen. I can't remember how much game time that is but could you imagine having a count down instead of a monthly sub.

The only reason people ask you to play ff is because you didn’t finish the story. If you finished it, literally no one would care if you played again. Meanwhile, you been playing wow for months and I literally see people sometimes say, "man I wish he would play wow". Like wut, he plays it all the time.

Pewds must have really strong mental fortitude as well as work ethic. The majority of the top 50 KZfaqrs around the time Pewds became #1 all dissapered within a few years after Pewds became #1, having that pressure to always deliver some content every day really isn't something most people can handle for many years. But Pewds also had traditional media smearing his good name long before he ever said anything naughty on that bridge, depicting him as a nazi or that his followers were a bunch of nazis - that's dangerous stuff since it just takes one crazy to go end his life. I would have worried if i was him at that time. Anyway, Pewds is badass for doing that daily grind forever and never really complaining like some sissy and never apologizing just because he felt forced to.. but did do so when he felt it was the right thing to do. A good guy! Truly the king of YT

I can relate on the skill level part. There was a time in my life where I couldn't imagine being outside of the top 2 on a DPS chart no matter the mmo I was playing or how hard I was trying, but now at 35 it is really an accomplishment for me to be up there. I can't even play FPSs or MOBAs anymore because it pisses me off how far away I am. It's so annoying knowing in your brain what to do and how to do it, but it's not being relayed to your fingers correctly. ESPECIALLY when you know the person beating you has no clue what they are doing.
