ive noticed theres some issues with input as well. even dumb shit like holding shift to sprint doesnt register sometimes or theres a lot of latency.

It took me 18 tries facing the one in the catacombs at stranded graveyard. The closed ring makes it insane

You can change the controller button prompt to kb&m through the settings menu.

The attack not working thing is happening to me too. I have 3 monitors but even if I put the game on fullscreen the cursor sometimes goes off the game to another monitor which is why the attack doesn't go off. It's very annoying and I hope they fix it.

bro the ulcerated tree spirits are so easy. just get a 100%block shield, hold down block, and keep moving forward into the boss until your basically trying to get inside it from the side. then start whacking with a few occasions of having to block. I beat the one in the bottom of stormveil castle one shot and the one at the tutorial area at the bottom maybe after try 11 or 12 when i realized you could literally just do the above. felt like such a moron haha

Getting stuck in a wall is the hardest part of a lot of fights in Elden Ring.

Just do the white face quest and get too the farm spot, 2k per kill 40 odd k per clear takes no time to get 100k+

Ive always approached souls games like sideshow bob tripping on rakes. You will hit them all, second, third playthrough, you know where the rakes are.

No register heavy attacks happen all the time on my ps4...I just jump and look like a fool getting swatted like a fly

I find it curious that Asmon is mainly an MMO player which is a genre very heavily focused on farming and dungeon crawling yet he finds it difficult to grasp the concept of Elden Ring. I feel like if he approached Elden Ring like a single player MMO he would have a much easier time. I had this mindset and did most of the side content in Limgrave before tackling Margit, and I beat him in my third try. Souls vets complain about the summoning being an easy mode which just isn't true. The easy mode is courtesy of the games open world. It is easier than ever just to pick a place on the map, discover it and farm runes. The map is so huge and so expansive that you can get runes without it even feeling like a grind.

As someone who’s beaten all the souls games, Watching souls vets like asmon come back and watching people who are new to the souls games (like Dr disrespect) has truly been a great time. Elden ring has brought the souls games back into the spotlight and I’m so happy seeing it.

That try with the *Godskin Noble* was some solid proof FROM SOFT did not properly test these bosses. I went for more less the same build Asmond was there (strength, colossal weapons), and 3 power stance hits with colossal weapons staggers pretty much every humanoid boss (hell 3 single colossal 2-hands does it even for the infamous Crucible Knights) and several big boys (Ulcerated Tree Spirit, Morgott, Mogh, etc) but not this one. Lost many times as I was certain I was doing something wrong or not connecting fast enough to prevent the posture bar going back. Until I gave up and went shield and poke with a great epee, won first try. Pretty deflating victory, IMHO. It is immersion breaking see *how a big monster has less posture than a humanoid one* , hell even the dragons stagger more easily. It is almost as this boss was just set to be annoying AF. The *Rykard portion* , it is 100% doable and I daresay easier if to do *without the Serpent Hunter* if you have enough vigor and resistances. With 60 vigor and resistance talisman the magma does not stagger you and the damage is a joke so you can get up in his face and the AI does not know what to do, especially in second face. Rykard just stands there getting pummeled and the nasty fire ball tracking spell does not get cast or connects because you are on his face. He cast all kinds of crap and tries hitting you with the sword when you are at a distance, close quarters he just either stands there hitting nothing OR tries the jump slam which is pretty easy to dodge. I went without the Serpent Hunter as I thought it was going to be a challenging fight, but ended up winning first try.

I always use the dragon head first to give the boss scarlett rot, then just run away and pot haha

You also have to hit ever spot on the floor because there is a hidden floor in the game. :)

Just wait till you get to Maliketh, The Black Blade, or the end lady boss.

i didnt see the weapon the first time i went in and beat the first phase with my usual weapon. but in phase 2 i realised i couldnt reach him for shit unless he came forward with his head for a second.

Dude I'm looking for an adventure game with a warrior fighting monsters and gaining level & purchase armor that is cheap when the level is low and buy Golden armor when the level is higher and the warrior fights *Pixels , walking trees , ghosts , wolves , wild boars , huge wasps , snakes , orcs and other monsters* obtaining elemental powers.... It's kind of crazy how he one shots the magma wyrm but has trouble with godskin noble, for me it was the exact opposite, I don't think I've died to any godskin noble other than the duo (which he also oneshot iirc wtf?)
