Naoi's Hidden blade isn't the first rotating one we've seen, though it is historically. By release, Connor's Hidden Blade was a Pivot blade itself. Only difference between the two is the blade type, with Conner's being a hunting knife, and Naoi's being a Tantō.

If Oda was a Templar, why should Yasuke join the Assassin Brotherhood? It is the dishonor of the samurai. In the last scene, he still wears samurai armor with the emblem of the Oda clan. In AC lore, when the Japanese Assassins made contact with Nobunaga, he was sympathetic to their cause and promised an alliance once he had unified his country. However, after he came into possession of a Sword of Eden, the possibility of an alliance was compromised.

@@joose-pin3220he was a slave brought to Japan, used by a daimyo (Oda Nobunaga) as a sword bearer and servant to show off to other lords, Oda dies, Yasuke returns to his slavers or to the Jesuits he was with before. That's literally all of his story. He wasn't some badass, he didn't even fight

Yasuke (弥助 or 弥介) was a man, likely of African origin, who served as a servant and retainer to the Japanese daimyō Oda Nobunaga in 1581-1582, during the Sengoku period. He was retained by the daimyō as a koshō (小姓, page) for a period of 15 months until Nobunaga's death in the Honnō-ji Incident.

It's kind of hilarious how a rather historically irrelevant individual like Yasuke has been brought to prominence in all forms of modern media. When there's little known about the man himself. @@danielcastaneda4975 he was a Kosho, which is the gateway rank to becoming a samurai. he didn't become a samurai because his lord was betrayed and then we lost all record of him and his actions. his master, Nobunaga, had already been mentioned in AC lore, and in lore he was an ally to the brotherhood but ended up being killed by them, and so having Yasuke go from his kosho to an ally of the assassins makes complete sense

everyone who's been shown to be in the game who isn't Japanese was someone who actually existed in Japan at this time? the main character is Japanese, all of the major characters present except Yasuke are native Japanese or from Portugal/Italy who historically were in Japan in this point in history, and Yasuke was a real samurai who lived in Japan at this time. this very much is Japan

Naoi has become my favorite first female Japanese assasin descending from the iga clan and the skills she inherited and was passed on from the teachings of ezio and many assasins in Europe working with yasuke as an Allies to atone for the sins of wiping out the iga in the name of nobunaga unification and the two would become best friends and respected warriors in their own right stopping the templars taking over of Japan and the warlords in league with them as nori have her vengeance against the Templar overall conspiracy plot.

You are not fully correct about your statement. Although Yasuke was a retainer not a full samurai. He has been shown in many forms of media with different stories as his documentation of events are few.
