Apparently, the difference between Ant-Man and Atom Smasher is that the former can only change his size because of his suit, while the latter can change his size even when he's naked. So technology vs inherent power. And Atom Smasher can only grow bigger.

The sad part is most people will look at atom smasher, hawk man, and dr. fate and think they’re rip offs of ant-man, falcon, and dr. strange, but it’s actually the other way around

I wouldn’t really consider them ripoffs. Atom Smasher and Ant-man can grow, but that’s it. Other than that, they’re not a like at all. Hawkman is a reincarnated Egyptian prince. Falcone is just a guy with mech bird wings. Dr Fate is more of a mantle than anything. Doctor Strange is a surgeon-turned-sorcerer.

Atom Smasher (together with Cyclone and Dr. Fate)( is one of the few good things about this movie. Shit, I really hope to see him again in the future. Even knowing that this movie was a flop. Maybe become even more gigantic (like in the comics) And let's hope there's a Justice Society movie made. And then I hope Atom has as many interactions as possible with female team members (yes I'm a fan of the giant man/tiny woman macrophilia fetish 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 ). The fact that they made him and Al Pratt (his uncle) to look like Scott Lang and Hank Pym is such a waste. Al Pratt never gave him any of his costume as the Atom because they’re literally very different in many aspects other than the blue mask. The comic version is more creative than this Ant Man rip off (cinematic universe wise)

besides hero fatigue, its really easy to explain the problem with Super Hero movie Flicks. DC has more Iconic and well known 4 heroes (Superman, Batman Wonder Woman, and the Flash) but they are all so boring because they win all the time, Marvel has more popular characters because they can loose, but lately Disney has lost sight of that. Characters need depth, not to be the all powerful answer to everything. Super Heroes Need to loose individual stories to realize that they need come to and work together to defeat the REAL ENEMY. Its not a fun movie if the plot is Good person faces bad person, good person makes jokes for 2 hours to prove they are likable, good person wins in the end. ( hamlet wasn't likable, romeo and juliet weren't likable, the Raven was about a guy losing his mind and losing in the end.) People need to know that it is okay to fail, and it is okay, especially as women, that its okay to rely on other humans to succeed sometimes. WE DON'T NEED A GOD LIKE CHARACTER TO SOLVE ALL OUR PROBLEMS.
