Ironically, the best part of the Black Adam movie was Hawkman and Dr Fate. The rock is fine in normal action movies but honestly I would've preferred an actual middle eastern actor for Adam. Just threw me off the whole time

And these characters are given their debut on someone else’s film, lessening their chance for success on their solo film. It’s the most frustrating thing about WBs philosophy for their films, you don’t just throw your headliner characters out there with no build up just so some other headliner character can have someone to talk to. And not every superhero needs a solo film, some characters are fine not having one. Think back to when the dceu started, remember when ben affleck was cast as batman? Or Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman? People hated that Ben was batman and said Gal had was just cast because she's hot. Do you really think if they had gotten solo movies before BvS they would of been successful? The answer is no, they would not have. Them appearing in BvS let people get a feel for their portrayal of the characters and got people excited for them. That's why wonder woman was so successful, because people had seen her as wonder woman and already decided they liked her as the character. The same would of been true for Ben's solo batman film if wb hadn't fucked that up too. Introducing Hawkman and Dr. Fate(who are the only ones who really should get a solo film out of the 4) would of worked with them getting their own solo films or a JL society film because people are already familiar with them. You're letting marvel's shit movie formula convince you that's the only way to do things. DC doesn't need to do that because unlike marvel, their heroes are better known.

This is one of those cases where race really doesn't matter. Hawkman also has the power of resurrection. Every time he dies, he comes back as someone else. His true self is actually that of an Egyptian prince. So as long as the spirit of the character is done well, it doesn't matter what Hawkman looks like.

If you are saying that Falcon shouldn't be Captain America, that's also wrong. Steve Rogers passed the mantle to Sam Wilson in the comics years before they did it in the MCU. So Marvel isn't messing anything up by making a "token, hand me down" character. It still makes sense too, because the mantle can be worn by any American person. And why is that? Because if the character/mantle represents America, there are multiple races in America. The mantle can be worn by anyone white, black, Asian, Hispanic, male, or even female. If they were born and raised in America, they can be Captain America.

I remember when it happened in the comics and disagreed with the decision then. This happened around the same time as Ironheart and She-Thor which made it look like Marvel was catering to the woke crowd rather than the fans and the fans completely rejected it. If the mantle was to be passed down, it should either have been Bucky or a new person. Eric July has talked about the tokenization of characters rather than creating new ones like he did and its a sore point for long time comics fan like myself.

In the MCU, both of the identities of Captain America and the Winter Soldier are known across the entire world. No one, especially in America, are gonna accept Bucky being the new Cap. Steve Rogers gives the former main weapon of HYDRA one of the most admired mantles in the world? That's not gonna sit. They don't care if Bucky was mind controlled or not. And Steve knows that. Sam proved himself more than worthy of wielding that shield. The only ones who genuinely don't like it are those who simply don't want anyone who's NOT a white man to be Captain America. Because, if not, people have to give a good reason as to why characters like all the Robins and Bucky can replace the OGs, but Sam can't?
