ATV CART with Hydraulic Dump.

DIY 4 Wheeler Trailer or ATV Yard Cart with the tandem axle floating beam suspension. Built by Rapid Creek Cutters in Nov. 2019. This cart uses a cordless drill to dump it instead of using a power pack or 12 volt motor on the pump. It was an experiment to see if a drill would run a hydraulic pump and it works well for firewood, dirt, gravel, river rock, scrap metal and debris.

That’s what I said! He should make a cable with a plug running to the rear and then attach a plug to the pump wiring and he could make an awesome kit cheap.

Lmao, I like the extension idea....... this is awesome , you should put the effort into running 12v power and a switch input out the rear and then a plug to go to the motor. I dont think you will need a diode in the 12v line if it’s passing through a toggle switch. (You just wanna be sure it’s not draining battery when not in use! Get fancy and I’ll help you wire up two limit switches to automatically turn the pump off when fully extended and then kill the pump again when it’s fully retracted. Have a green l LED that illuminates telling the operator the pump is off and the dump bed is down (Home/Safe to drive position) Seriously, if you got the pump and that cylinder At a decent price and you could make it an auto cycle , you could start selling your own units! I’m looking for “something similar now. I have a Polaris ATP 500 and it has a manual dumping “bed” I want to make it hydraulic. Cant be that hard....

I would’ve bought a small 52 cc Weedwhacker engine install it to the pump and added a return line. By adding a T fitting in a shut off valve so you can open and close it and run it directly to the tank

Nice build but the hydraulic cylinder placement is crappy. You need a deeper angle so you can actually dump the cart. That’s only half way up of a typical dump. And as shown, the wood didn’t move an inch when dumped and that’s loose material. Dirt or anything else won’t come out. Rocks of course. But you said you dump dirt. You know of course you needed to help it out.

Yes, I thought the same thing about a year ago and repositioned it under the box and now it stands the dump bed almost straight up. It should have been there in the first place.
