How deep is the well? Im assuming its pretty shallow?? Im looking to build one that can pull up from 150' down to just trickle flow into a pond.

I just realized you meant "4.54:1" not 454:1....lol
@highplainshollarhomestead318816 күн бұрын
454:1??? No way. The fan was barely making a few revolutions and the vertical pump shaft was moving 1/4 turn. Can you please tell me your sprocket tooth counts?

Technically you are using the water from the house though same water table 🤣cool windmill though

I do some similar. I use a 16:1 transmission utilizing a worm and down gear. My tower is hinged and counter-weighted, so I can lower it to service the mechanism. All my wind turbines compress air, which I save in a giant system of pipes and tanks, an air battery, if you will. Many of my tools, as well as my whole-house electric generator, operate on compressed air.

I need a punch to do this on one side of 2" wide 1/8" thick square tubing about 2" from the end of the tubing. Do you know where i can get one? I don't need the machine, just the punch and the part to slide the tubing over so it doesn't get a burr on the inside. '

Do you know anyone that makes one of these for sale? Was looking to buy one for hobbyists in the area and for fair kids to have something easier to move. Would you consider making one of these and selling it?

Not to be personal but how much did this cost you to build I want to build one similar to this to go to my John Deere 40 and maybe hook into a PTO and I wanted to know what my budget should look like. Looks great by the way! Great build sir!

🤔Back in the old today's windmills had metal steel cables on all 4 corners also when the blades was much larger and much wider and much higher UP in THE air that's a GOOD way to pump any water out of the ground it's AlSO a good way to generate your own electricity only a win mail has got to have a REAL GOOD gearbox to turn ANY generator ALSO real metal steel cable's on all 4 corners on ANY windmills ALSO THAT'S where PEOPLE go wrong NOW DAY'S IS NOT putting Real Steel cables on ALL 4 corners ON ANY windmills ! . Yes you really could have free water all year round also free electricity all year round with a good windmill with a real good gearbox .

Great Job! Would you please share figure of how much would one expend from step 1 to completion including drilling of a ground water. Your feedback will be appreciated!

I would like to replace my electric well pump with something like this so I can keep sprinklers running in the event of wildfires. Would this make enough pressure to run several sprinklers set up in series and could it withstand a wildfire and the wind created by a fire? Thanks! It is a great idea for your corn patch for sure!
@patricksawyer977910 ай бұрын
Not on it's own, no. Seems to be a fairly low pressure system, and focused on suction instead of pressure. You would need an additional pressure source to draw from the tank to reach the needed pressures, such as a water tower, a pond up a hill, or a battery pump.

I need a baler that will do what your mini baler does, but I need it to be full size and capable of baling mini bales at the same rate as it would bale regular bales. Wondering if a full-sized baler could be modified with a multi-channel chute to process mini bales at a speed comparable to a regular baler?
@oldfarmer90042 жыл бұрын
Most of the balers can be adjusted to make a very small bale. The problem is, you’re using way more twine than you need to when you do that. So…grandpa used to actually make them slightly longer! To save twine. Plus it built character

All galvanized just give it another year or two and it will start popping leaks at the welds unless you did chemical treatment but I am guessing not. I am sure it works though there are better ways.

Nice, now if you just added waste oil as a fuel source, it would require almost no maintenance in the morning.

What's to keep the water from getting too hot when the pump fails or the power goes out and the fire just keeps heating-up the pipe and the 5-gallon tank mounted on the stove? This doesn't quite make sense to me and you said a couple things that seemed nonsensical.
@kdmac10572 жыл бұрын
