i ordered ARM Battlecord 2650, it should be really strong. and also nanocord for sewing.

Don't forget the load is being shared by two strands, so this cord is not up to spec.

That's surprisingly low for 2 strands of paracord and Atwood should be a quality manufacturer. Perhaps the set up somehow introduced some stress points?

Tying a knot will reduce the strength of the cord. It might be possible to test the cord without a knot (probably how the manufacturer says its 550 test), but I figure most people in the field won't have the ability to use the rope without a knot. I wanted a practical "what will this actually handle when used by a normal person" test.
