Thank you for this video. This Russia, China, North Korea thing IS inevitable at this point. God is pouring out his spirit on his prophets, warning us about the coming war. God will allow our enemies to overtake us, because of the wickedness in this nation. I could say so much more. Just know, they will come in the cold, while we are sleeping. They will be ruthless. The only true protection we can prepare is our relationship with Jesus. The Holy Spirit will guide us. Have your passports. Get ready.

These don't work well. Put a bucket under the diverter hose, and put one under the gutter. The diverter catches only a small fraction of the total water.

Love your video man!! I LOVE horsetail!! We’ve had a pot of beautiful horsetail in our backyard for roughly a decade now!! It’s such a cool native plant!! I’ve honestly become sentimental about it from times in the woods as a kid “snipe hunting”! 🤣🤣🤣 Great video man!! I like your authenticity and genuine spirit!! Really enjoyed this video! 😊

How about just putting things inside of an old microwave that you don't use anymore? Wouldn't that work as a faraday cage?
@lrnselfreliance2 ай бұрын
It might. But they are tuned for microwave frequencies, I would worry the EMP could have a broader range of frequencies and could slip past.

@@lrnselfrelianceI'm watching videos about Faraday cages because my utility company is requiring me to let them install a smart meter on my home. It's not that I am making any extraordinary claims about the radiation, but it would be nice to protect myself from it nonetheless. I'm wondering how much protection I would get if I just hung some aluminum screen on my wall where the meter is. The meter is on the exterior of the house outside of a bedroom. And if I were to hang a square of aluminum screen on the wall inside the bedroom, would that block most of the radiation? I'm thinking of a square of screen maybe about 5 ft by 5 ft or so. The siding of the house is made of stucco, by the way. I don't know if perhaps that helps protect from the radiation, does it? It has also come to my attention that my cell phone gives off more radiation than I thought. I'm looking into what can be done about that.

See but I had the same problem And I freaking worked N worked for about 4 hours and I got zero service with zero calls zero wifi etc. you can achieve zero . I just did this this weekend. With enough work and idk I took a green coated wire striped it about inch pushed that into the ground then connected the rest inside the bucket and once I did that, that was when I achieved Total zero service and calls. I'm not sure if grounding it helped or not but I did it and when I did I finally got total zero service. Lots of aluminum tape and a bit of foil that's what I used with my metal can and lid.

The point is this. Faraday cage is electric STATICS and is about Gauss Law and the Laplace equation and about boundary value problem. What everyone is talking about is blocking radiation with a wall of some sort. Yes you can join up the wall to enclose a volume of space BUT the mathematics involved is not a boundary value problem BUT the mathematics and physics is going to be same as asking what radiation can pass thru a wall or a mesh. Although it seems similar the mathematics is totally different and you would be looking at electric properties of wall and skin depth and frequency of radiation and energy of radiation. THAT IS NOT A BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM of electric statics!! That's electric dynamics. For instance you can block infrared from your tv hand set by a very thin piece of paper. You could block radiation effectively with a very thick good conductive material and make a faraday cage of such a material. Gauss Law PLUS the above considerations (frequency, energy, skin depth etc) would result in a excellent faraday cage BUT strictly speaking a faraday cage is about electric statics and a boundary value problem of Laplace equation and so in most faraday cages you may see you would still be able to use your phone. It's a mathematical thing!! What Faraday was looking at was charges on surface of conductor and the shielding of cavities within conductor, Gauss Law and boundary value problem of Laplace equation. STATICS!!
@user-yb9ol8sz7o3 ай бұрын
The point is this. There are TWO different worlds. Electric STATICS and DYNAMICS. Faraday cage is electric STATICS!! Cell phone is electric DYNAMICS!! Totally different differential equations involved. People often mix up the two and it's the source of lots of confusion.

Dumb question- if am EMP can damage cell towers, HOW is an undamaged cell phone in the faraday cage going to work AFTER you take the working cell phone and TRY to call someone? Asking for everyone who isn't thinking about the dynamics of EMP or even CME's.

A cell phone without cell towers is useless. But, a smart phone loaded with maps/pdfs/etc can still be useful.

I USED to see piles and piles of legit mil-spec 50cal ammo cans sitting at the gun range from the early 1980’s up until Barry & Big Mike moved on up to Washington DC. Most of the cans were nearly new with no rust or dents. The cost? They WERE approx $2-4@ in quantities of 10 or 20 or so. I have most of our ammo stored in new ammo cans (50cal) after vacuum sealing each small box in 8mil poly bags with silica gel desiccant packs inside the bags. I’d then double bag each small bag with additional 500cc desiccant packs. Everything then got packed in to one of the new ammo cans with a small aluminum “tin” of color indicating silica gel. (only a few $ bucks each). According to several ammo manufacturer’s engineers, packed this way and kept at a cool and stable temperature under 80deg F… I can expect to see a life expectancy of 60-75… YEARS!! (I was contributing to an AR15.com article back after 9/11/2001 and had great access to our department suppliers… I was actually very surprised and quite happy to know our “investment” would have a long and usable lifespan). I’ve been checking online sources for a while now.

Sorry… I forgot to include the key info. I was looking for a dozen or so additional ammo cans to use for “Mini Faraday Enclosures” and to pack up some newly acquired 5.56 Lake City items. Our ranges and gun stores had almost nothing in stock and whatever they did have was rusty and dinged up. Nearly everything I located online was either extremely expensive, had extremely high shipping, or both. I ordered several from several suppliers and all were in horrible condition when they arrived. But.. Today I received my order from an Amazon vendor. (I hate giving them $$ vs. Local business, but i am now fairly disabled w/Ankylosing Spondylitis and their “prime delivery” to my front door is a blessing) The ammo cans were from a military contract (CAGE Code was on each) manufacturer. They were BRAND NEW ! Each one came wrapped individually in bubble wrap and each one in it on thick cardboard box . Each can had perfect paint, perfect butyl rubber gasket, etc.. PERFECT! (Can you tell how surprised I am? LOL) THE COST EACH - DELIVERED TO MY DOORSTEP = $19 BUCKS ! (FEB-2-2024) Just search the Amazon store for “Fortress Metal Ammo Can”. They also have copper tape with conductive adhesive on Amazon. It’s likely Chinesium, but at a decent price… Now I feel like a dirty shill for Bezos. But at least, my last name is not Biden. 🤣

Excellent video and presentation 🙂 I've been freaking out over a possible CME and/or EMP... I recently received a "Pacemaker". I've been scratching my head on how to protect it. If it fries, I'm history... I've been instructed, by the Doctors, to avoid contact with "Welding Machines" and other EMF sources, such as High voltage Transmission lines, as they can mess up my device. To add some protective clothing and/or an EMP, EMF and/or CME proof shelter, like a Faraday Cage of some sort. I found a Filtering material, on Amazon, that is described as filtering 95% of most frequencies... I'm planning to make a tent of sorts that I can get into, in the event of a serious CME or EMP, etc. On the funny side, if the material Fails, I don't think I'll be in any condition to get my money back... lol Thanks for sharing this information... I'm going to get that book... Not just for something to read but because I NEED it... 🙂

You can stop the signals to the phone if you place a metallic cloth covered foam gasket around the inside of the lid of the can. The problem is that higher frequencies can get through very small gaps between the sides of the can and the lid. You want to do your best to reduce the signal levels by 50 decibels or more across the range of frequencies. Without proper sealing between the can and lid you’re only getting about 15 decibel reduction in the upper frequencies.

Im going to make one for my portable generator out of a cardboard box wrapped with layers of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Some people say you need to put an insulating layer between each layer of foil, others say just use 3 to 5 layers of foil right on top of eachother. Anyone know which is correct??
