I love Aurora. She is truly unique in her style, and her how she lives out the music in her body anguage and eyes are mezmerising and makes her performances something extra special. She makes us hang on her every word but also on her every movement. Who she most reminds me of, is Hua chen yu, or rather, they remind of each other. The way she lives every aspect of her music it is like her music, not only her voice but her whole understanding of her music has it's own life. I do not know og you know this, but Hua chen yu really likes her and wanted one of her songs, he got it, he called it escape from utopia, and it that song he is singing, Even though it is hus song in his way, er can still clearly hear Aurora. Especially his studio version. She called the song silhoettes, she recorded it, but didn't release it since she sold the rights for it to Hua chen yu. But I add a link to hers and his. We don't mind pausing. We understand why you have to do it, but something that'll make it a bit less annoying for everybody is if after you've paused you press the "left" button to skip 10 seconds back.

Regarding her backup singer - this is Silja Sol, shes actually a very skilled Solo artist /musician her self. She mostly sing (Solo) in Norwegian, however Aurora and Siljas voices is perfectly match. Aurora grew up loving Norwegian folk music, she taught herself how to play piano at 6 years old and started writing her one songs at 10 years old. She was extremely shy growing with few friends because she was so different from the other kids, she wouldn't let anyone hear her sing or play until she was like 15. Her hand movement is just an extension of her, she says her mouth is too small to let out the emotion she feels when singing. She started playing live at 18 years old and hated it because she is such an introvert, and since she was scared she wouldn't move when on stage. But she moved her hands a ton in the way you see a little bit in this video, then she saw a recording of herself singing live and had no idea she was even moving her hands. She didn't know she was doing it, and she has never watched herself since. She signs with her whole soul and body. React to this one next, she was very young at this time. Good choice - in my opinion, the best live performance of Aurora’s best song.

I think you might enjoy watching the same song at Nidarosdomen. Aurora had a cold during this performance and you can hear it in parts. But at the other performance she really puts her power behind it.

When watching Aurora, if at all possible find a performance from Live at Nidarosdomen with orchestra, best performances I have seen of hers.

Its from a TV show where the host wants to give back to differet Norwegian artist cause they have given their fans so much. Aurora gets surprised with different things. She doesnt know anything of what is happening. She is driven around the city in the hosts car and fex once she gets to perform a privat performance for two unknowing fans and the concert I talk about above is a concert she doesnt know she is having. She is droven into the forest and there are lots of fans, her family and her band waiting. You should also watch the documentary (Aurora Haik). The concert is uploaded in full but also every song she sings is uploaded on YT separately with the word Haik (The river, the seed, infections of a different kind, Runaway, Daydreamer etc)

Yes, she always dresses like that in "real life". This is her all the time! And she has indicated many times that when she sings, she goes completely into the song. How it comes through her is different every time. In this performance you got to see her be able to disappear into the song in a unique way, because it was just her and Silje - no audience. And, yes, Silje's voice blends in total perfection with Aurora's, imo.

Funny how that guy paused over the part where she says "Don't you speak over my voice." I think he needs to listen to the lyrics a little bit more seriously and not make so many jokes about how Aurora moves and expresses herself during her performances. She embodies the music so well.
