What women mean when they say “all men are dangerous” is basically “any man *could* be dangerous”. And that’s not a hard thing to comprehend. It’s also totally understandable to be perceived as scary or potentially dangerous in this world where men are taught to be entitled and aggressive. I’m an AMAB person, and I go on a lot of hikes. When I happen to be on a trail alone with a woman, they will very often stop walking and let me pass them to make sure I’m not intentionally following them and to keep me in sight while I’m close by. And while I never have any ill intent, I can absolutely understand being afraid or uneasy around a six-foot-tall dude who you just saw crouching down off the trail (looking at moss, but that’s usually not the first assumption), and who’s walking behind you on a secluded hiking trail. I get why that would be unsettling. I feel bad about it, but I also recognize there’s nothing that I can individually do in that situation but mind my own business and go about my hike like I normally would. Usually, when I leave women alone, they very quickly realize that I’m just a little weirdo who likes nature a lot, and I’m pretty harmless. I’m just there for the moss.

I kinda get you but I think pushing that stereotype of men being dangerous is pretty wack... it's like the stereotype that only women get domestically abused... but the facts in the USA are that more women perpetrate abuse on their make significant others than men do... if someone was going around pushing that all women need to be viewed as people that will abuse their partners do you think that's a possitive thing to do?

I know this is just about the intro, but for those wondering, the c-word is only sometimes used as a term of endearment and sometimes not. It depends on the context because outside of blokes meeting at the pub (men meeting at the bar), the c-word is still considered fairly offensive. When I was in high school a student said the word while in character in drama class and got told off by the teacher, who was highly offended by it. On a more serious note, Isaac’s video about feminism is especially damaging because domestic violence and sexual assault have been big issues here in Australia over the last few years. We’ve recently had a lot of press about SAs occurring (and being swept under the rug) in our federal government, so for Isaac to tell his audience of young impressionable men to be wary of feminism and accusations against men is downright irresponsible.

The people on *both* sides of that divide are stagnant. The stuck conservatives are laughing at the stuck SJWs who are stuck being triggered by the same stubbornness of the stuck conservatives... And round and around the tribalism carousel to hell turns. Eventually you figure out the cyclical pattern, extricate yourself from the endless drama, and start looking into the how & why of the perpetual motion machine. But it's virtually impossible to gain perspective on the objective reality of it all until you've cut most emotional cords to the ideological wars. Beliefs should be part of our identity, not the defining factors; otherwise, they come to own us (ie, become very resistant to changing w new information). If we don’t exercise some degree of detachment from our concerns over humanity, that empathy can be overwhelming; paradoxically, this prevents us from doing more to help. him saying that women who grow out their body hair are dumb because 'nobody cares' is just so. stupid. if he didn't care he wouldn't be talking about it. he wouldn't have made a whole video dedicated to that topic. by him getting all emotional and up in arms about it just shows WHY people feel the need to draw attention to female body hair. so dumb. with the 'all men are dangerous' thing, I think its more accurate that women think 'all men are POTENTIALLY dangerous'. women are generally cautious when dealing with men they don't know because they're playing a risk assessment game with their own safety. not all snakes are venomous but if you encountered a wild snake the safest option would be to assume that it is and keep your distance. better safe than sorry.

Edgy humor isn't "offensive" humor...he could be making jokes about licking his own feces off his boy's dick, but he's not. He's just being a piece of shit, and equating that to being "masculine". Sounds about right, honestly...I was taught to be a piece of shit by every "man" involved in my upbringing. It didn't work, and I was ridiculed and humiliated for not being masculine (shitty) enough. Even though I'm a mechanic, carpenter, electrician, computer tech, etc., and do all the traditionally "masculine" societal roles, I am too feminine and soft because of I have empathy and treat other people with respect, including woman...and that's just not manly enough, I guess. I don't have male friends. As a man, who is privy to the things men say when it's "just the boys"...men are shit. The ones that aren't seem to be generally too meek to do anything to check their toxic male peers...so they are shit too. I'm a man...and we are shit...and need to stop blaming everyone else and take some goddamn personal accountability. All of us. Check your friends. Check your family. Check yourself.

I don’t know how to explain how hard it is to be hairy as a woman. “Just shave!” I grow hair at around the same rate as a man who gets a five o’clock shadow. If I shave my legs in the morning, there will be stubble by evening. I go through so many razors man. It’s taken a lot of time to get over the idea that I’m disgusting just because I’m hairy. And I’m still not entirely over it. Some days I feel like the most disgusting piece of shi because people like this can laugh and call hairy women “gross” without ever having to go through what we have to go through. These guys don’t have to shave their face or be made fun of. These guys don’t have to shave under their arms or be made fun of. These guys don’t have to shave their legs or their arms or their groins or anything really. This guy doesn’t even want to understand. He’ll never want to understand. And that’s why I should legally be allowed to punch him in the face everytime he talks about things he doesn’t understand, the same way some jerks smack dogs’ noses when they do something bad. And if he loses a few teeth, well, maybe he should’ve sucked a dentist’s dic instead of the owner of a razor company’s.

*If you are alone you mean it’s obviously stupid if your going to a club with like 4 other girls and get shitfaced drunk and try to walk home after 10am it’s a dangerous time to be out and about especially when your intoxicated or go home with a random stranger you’d think people would understand that but to many people live in a bubble that everything is safe while more then likely you are safe walking around during the daytime where there people around generally at night is when monsters are more active always be aware and think smart and know the areas you are going to that’s the issue with rape in my opinion most people who go to college are usually so sheltered they think the world is safe and they get a hard lesson which should never fucking happen to anyone and of course it’s not there fault it’s just a lot of children being tossed into the real world without knowing the horrors of humanity and to those who commit these crimes and those who don’t say anything are immature cowards because that’s what children are and it’s sad a lot of parents sweep these things under the rug and don’t teach their kids these core values that are essential

If you get raped, you are not at fault but you bear some responsibility for the situation that you are in. If you wear revealing clothes and walk alone at night for example, you are making yourself a target.

Sorry for my horrible Grammer. On the topic of Woman's body hair, I have never understood why people see woman's body hair as disgusting and unhygienic to the point where everytime my armpit hair grows, my mom tells me to "Shave that armpit hair it's unhygienic and it makes the deodorant stick to the hair, etc." She sometimes even says that woman in Europe don't shave their armpits and since we are not European we should shave (Which is a very dumb statement) My mom means no harm but, this is what she was always taught and it's unfortunate.

I really appreciate you making these videos. You articulate perspectives and clearly break down arguments in such a concise way as to really bridge some intellectual gaps (that exist in certain pop culture debates). We definitely need people like you making content because I think that most of us affected (in this particular video women, trauma survivors, trans folx, etc) have simply lost the patience. I would have heard Isaac’s arguments and just been triggered by the years of misogyny and abuse I’ve experienced from dudes like him and been like “fuck this dude”. And then disengaged. Which * I know* won’t actually won’t help or fix anything, but I’m simply not capable of engaging with that rhetoric anymore for my own mental health and well-being. I think that society really needs people like you to continue to engage and make these types of videos in order to help make the world (hopefully?) a better place. That is, until all of us eventually regain enough mental fortitude to jump back into the fight. So thanks, dude. You give me hope.
