This is exactly why I left the religion. I grew up in a Christian household, went to church every Sunday and read the Bible before opening gifts on Christmas, and I can not express enough on how much hypocrisy and ignorance was in that religion. I remember being internally homophobic to myself and others because of what people said to me and just how terrible it was. I left the religion at age 15, I’m 20 turning 21 soon and Im never going back. Im especially mad about the whole “scare tactic” that they use to get people into the religion. My parents church proposed a pyramid scheme to convert everyone into Christianity. They said that if everyone in the room converted one person, and that person converted one person, and on and on.
