one point people are missing here from the history of the model, is that it was originally the most successful trials machine to compete internationally. it was then adapted for the road to become the bullet. its not intended for the Indian market it is aimed as a nostalgia machine for the international market. not that it really appeals to me!

Very clever of RE just took off some parts of the bike and price it higher as a offroader with no mechanical changes....good way to fool the customers

That exhaust is ridiculously high. It's clearly blocking the space for saddle bags.

For that, R&D will be needed, which will need investment, which will reduce profite margin. On the other hand, this is cheap to come up with. Eat it.

Looks like made from a scrap market. RE, please try to develop good bikes with 650 engine. Don't disappoint your customers.

I love it. I think it's one of the best looking 'scramblers' out there ( I know it's a Trials bike) ,with tons of character and huge fun factor. Sign me up.

I know that the price points are different, but once you look at a Triumph Scrambler (not even talking about the BMW nine t scrambler), looking at this is painful on the eyes. And its an RE 500, so we all know how it rides anyway.

I like the bike as I look on it as a scrambler with considerable development potential. Either way, I think it would be a lot of fun to muck around with in the scrub/ bush on the weekend. The rooster tail exhaust and headlight mesh cover make it look quite purposeful.

Interesting that Enfield offer a bike like this when Benelli offers the Leoncelli Trail which is half the cost of a Ducati Classic Scrambler. Consider the price point and the extra versatility they offer. Potential to upgrade things like the suspension, tank bags - they offer to do some mild off road adventure weekend, holiday touring.

Not popular where its made but the retro scrambler style is booming elsewhere. I've just bought one to cut about the Scottish roads on and I've had stupid amounts of attention and endless people stopping to chat to me about it. So it's not as practical as a classic but makes up for it in many other ways, and if the Mrs wants to ride pillion we'll get the Harleys out the garage 😜

Seems like RE market research team is weak. After developing brilliant motorcycles like interceptor , Himalayan why they are building this. Surely some customers will buy because of high popularity of classic 350 and 500 on the roads and wanted their bike to be little unique than others but this is bad for their brand image.

Can you also point out the huge delivery delays that are happening in case of Interceptor by Royal Enfield. The company keeps saying that there is a huge unexpected demand but in reality either production is not happening or they are focusing on first exporting the product out of country rather than selling it here in India. I have been waiting since 4th December 2018 to get delivery of my bike. Please raise the issue of delay in deliveries on your channel.

For all you guys & haters saying it's an unnecessary bike, the current UCE engine powered Thunderbirds, Classics & Standards are reaching their end of product lifecycle. The new BS6 Thunderbird & Classic with major engine and body changes are already in testing phase as spy shots have surfaced from Chennai. With the Trials, RE has nothing to lose, they are just trying out new ways of making the most of the current UCE models that will be phased out in less than a year. Another thing that what makes people go for RE is the raw, unrefined torque and relaxed riding pose that gives the bike some character unlike modern refined powerful bikes. Power & Torque figures, VFM doesn't always sell.

It doesn't look no way near to a scrambler !should have modified the same with the himlayan which may look more like a scrambler ! Very poor design

Mechanically, they haven't changed anything. All they have done is add some off-road elements to it. Which makes this bike, the snail among scramblers. And going by the gist, a lot of people will sign up for this as well, just like the way they bought 350x and 500x and later complained about its weak performance. And on top of that, they have reduced the crank weight to make it BS4, which means it sounds like a commuter bike, and not like an RE any longer. I hope RE learns a lesson the hard way.

after driving RE stealth black for almost one and half year.. I feel like REs are waste, specially on highways when your bike won't go above 100kmph... and issues with RE--- never ending :/

Old habits die hard ! The company which recently launched 650CC game changing ‘Twins’ suddenly realized its famous tradition of selling old wine in new bottles! But the bottles are ugly time ! Sincerely hope gullible customers don’t make a beeline to book these new twins !
