Ironic I found this video. Actually my ABS was having faults. My mechanic first said need to buy a new one then has to be coded. Which would have cost a fortune. I told him give me the module and I'll send it to an electronics repair place I know who are really good. They fix everything from from gpus, laptops, cpu, etcetc. Sent it to them and they found it was as you rightly pointed out a power pin supply issue. They fix3it and my mechanic fitted and ran diagnostic test. No issues. Save a ton of money too! As you said anyone that has a abs module problem said do this!

Thanks for the excellent video. I'm an electronics engineer (for over 30 years) and dry joints are a prevalent issue in places that have a lot of vibration etc, just like you pointed out on the +ve supply pins. My Suzuki Grand Vitara has an ABS/ESP error so I'm suspect dry joints on the circuit board is the cause. Question: What do you suggest you use to reseal the cover? Black auto silicone maybe? Cheers!

found your video helpful. Im diagnosing a 2008 lexus rx350. The code im getting states the solenoid relay faulty. I checked the fuse and they were fine. Since i ran out of time to do further diagnoses. I will return to reconfirm power supply to the harness and inspect the pins for any movement. If im lucky enough to even open it. great video and I'm an electronic tech so the service checks are easy. Only problem is the cover over the control board is sealed and breaks if you try to remove it. It does not snap back on. So removing it and locating the problem is a mood point as the module can not be resealed correctly for use.

Thanks for the excellent video! I have a 2003 vw mk4 Golf that is not getting any abs errors or trouble codes but I cannot bleed the driver rear calliper and have diagnosed to the abs module. Looks like it could be a sticky/stuck valve. Is disassembling the module a possible way to check or confirm it’s a stuck valve? Using VCDS abs output test to check operation.

Thanks for sharing the video. Referring to the 16:40 of the video about the ABS Motor Transistor. We connect the positive voltage to drain pin of the 2N06LH5. My question is that why not connected negative voltage but positive since the 2N06L5 is N Channel Mosfet?

This video is incredible! We are having lots of issues with that ABS/ESP module in the Suzuki Grand Vitara 3.2L from 2008 to 2010. Will need to check this out! Quick question, how did you open the cover? Brute force or is it just glued?

That is a good job for checking continuity only. You can check the diodes and also be able to turn on the FET transistors with the meter as well.

Would it be possible for you to dismantle the ABS module of the 9th Generation 2014 Honda Accord? I think there is a problem from the design of the circuit board. I really like your presentation, it's useful.

They sure didn't put too much solder on some of those connections. I was wondering if it might pay to just go through all the solder connections and touch them up with a soldering iron. But, maybe you're right. Check it first for any disconnects with the ohmmeter and then solder. On another video for a Honda (Odyssey) they talk about a thin wire that tends to break between module sections and how it is difficult to repair. Have you come across that?

My question is , is esp error message because of broken abs module? I hav esp error message , t.c light and tyre pressure light. Blinking intermittent. But no abs light?

I have a 2012 jeep wrangler with a C2200 code showing abs module internal problem. Do you have a schematic or point me in the direction of what I should do first? The jeep will drive fine with no light for most the day then sometimes it will throw the same c2200 code until i restart it and it goes away. I'm hoping it's some kind of connection issue I could fix. They have been on backorder for a couple years so getting a new one is almost impossible. Any help would be greatly appreciated

For 2011 prius, ABS system has actuator/mater cylinder (which has ecu circuit board and solonoids) and the pump (which has a motor and an accumulator), the pump keeps turns on every 10 secs so can I assume the circuit board is good? I found an electric shop that will rebuild the pump motor which include replacing brushes, bearings, and rewind new commutator

Well done! I learned a lot. 2012 Ford Escape, randomly the brake pedal will go to the floor while I'm stopping and I lose like >80% of my braking effectiveness, but then the brakes are fine next time I use the pedal. No ABS codes are populating, nor does the vehicle pull to either side when this happens. After watching your videos, maybe one of the outlet valves is sticking open, or being unseated intermittently? Any suggestions how to narrow down the issue, if this could be electrical or mechanical?

Please let me know if you’re open for taking the job. The unit is out of a 2008 Holden Captiva. Hmmm… also no continuity between pump negative and either of the main ground pins.. faulty mosfet?

Does the valve block leak if you pull the abs controller off. I want to attempt changing it while in the car by just replacing the controller

Can you test the ECU socket pins without dismantling the unit? My connector is showing 12v at the two power wires and grounds are correct values. But I am getting error abs pump fault - relay opened permanent. I can actuate values but not pump. Cannot find the relay as an external part, so Im thinking its inside the ECU...

26:58 off course we have to be carefull because its the brakes.... but if we are taking off the module down its because its not working properly BUT the brakes work good enough when you have them under tension. Its the initial actuation of the brake that is a little sudden. The existing problem has cleared every inspection although this has been going on on my car for 3 years..

I have a 2010 jeep Rubicon. For about 3 years now I have the 3 lights lit on my dash, ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, and airbag. The code is C2116, low voltage at the ABS module. It used to be intermittent but lately they're on all the time. Very few seem to have this code. Can this be common with the module? Thanks.

I have an intermittent issue with my ABS module code c2200-49 which says abs internal issue. I have ran these checks and everything checked out ok, Thanks for the knowledge. After reinstalling my ABs light was gone, I dove it around for a while and everything was reading good on Data log. I was able to clear the code and all was good. The next day I started truck and the ABS, Traction Control and service trailer brake lights were on again????

I have a car where the motor is running continuously. Even with the ignition off. I'm guessing the motor "relay" transistor is shorted. Where does the input to the base of that transistor come from? Is there a possibility that it's not shorted but being forced closed continuously by a faulty input at the base of the transistor?

What model of electronic brake control module is that? i have a 2012 Cadillac SRX with ebcm model 20842710 and that module is on back order from GM. I have a code of C056D which means internal failure. What do you think the problem is with my abs ebcm. Would doing these tests help me out or should I send it in for repairs to a abs module repair place?

Have a Nissan Wingroad 2003 QG15 engine the issue am having is only when the abs module wire harness is disconnected only then OBD2 scanner will read my transmission once reconnected the scanner will not read or connect to my transmission or ABS could it be a short on the module itself or wire harness.

For 2012 Honda Civic, I am seeing 81-20 that states built-in acceleration sensor failure(ABS), at times there is another one 85-01 VSA signal failure(electronic power steering). But consistently seeing 81-20. Any thoughts and guidance if ABS pump can be repaired? Thanks
