awesome walkround. i've had RR for 5 years, will upgrade soon and to get any other car does not enter my head.. once you've had one nothing else is close

For all the reliability doubters that reguarly troll the Land Rover / Range Rover videos, yes they had issues, ironically mostly when BMW owned them, but those days have gone, yes there might be an odd lemon, name me a car manufacturer that doesn't have them, but these days, unbeatable. Having tried the wannabe 4x4's, the Cayenne, the X5, the ML, etc etc, believe me I have had them all, it all comes back to one, the Range Rover. Nothing even gets close.

Whether you think Land Rovers look good or not, are reliable or not or expensive or not to maintain doesn't make any difference. Once most people have owned one they don't want anything else. If you're wondering why, just go drive one on and off road....all will become clear!

Did you test the new one? I thought like you, until I saw the new one in person and drove it (as the first man in my hometown). It´s different, but it´s better. I´ve had a 2007, a 2009 and a 2010 RR supercharged and I still love the 322 design, but I ordered a new one, just because it´s the best RR ever made.

@boricuas4669 Yes, I know that it is a standard feature in the new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. If I was fortunate enough to have the means to buy a Range Rover, and I was at the dealership and the sales person was trying to sell me a left over 2011 model I would insist on getting the 2012 Range Rover instead.

@boricuas4669 This is RR/SUPERCHARGED ! Watch carrefuly on their site and you will see that the 2012 model have the same gear change stick !! The new dial komb comes with the new 4,4 new diesel engine from Jaguar !!! ;)

Like another comment said is it better than the g wagon I think it is but the g wagon is more reliable and about 50k more than a base range

@boricuas4669 These people were probably the last of the press to get this vehicle for evaluation. The dial knob transmission which first debuted on the Jaguar XF is a unique feature for Jaguar / Land Rover which is a nice touch. If I was buying one of these vehicles I would insist on getting it with the dial knob transmission. The new models should also have an 8 speed automatic transmission too, but I'm not sure if they will have that for 2012.

Land Rover needs to limit the amount of plastic on those door panels, especially considering how much these things cost new. Even though these are very capable off road vehicles, I know damn well the MILF's I see driving these everyday go no where near a backwoods trail.
