I highly suggest that all female nurses that feel uncomfortable or disrespect for someone in the team to reach out to a congressperson to help with these situations. There is no situation that couldn’t change when a legal suit happen. About the video, very cool, thanks for sharing all of the things that you have been through.

Hey, Bolt! Thank you for making this channel and sharing your experiences. I'm currently in nursing school right now, and I graduate by the end of the spring semester. My school is offering an EKG as an elective, and I'd like to know your thoughts on taking an EKG class as an undergrad. Preferably, I don't want to take the class as I would like to keep my student loans as low as possible. But at the same time I think it would benefit me as I would like to get into the ICU as soon as possible.

I don't know if you made a video about this, but maybe you can make a video about getting out of CRNA school, and describe how your first job was like, salary , what you learned since then, did you feel preped after school to be working as a CRNA unlike nursing as I still feel I am learning so much ?

Random question. How well do you think male patient modesty is respected at hospitals by female nurses? I recently randomly overheard a conversation by some female nurses that were talking about how if there is a cure guy under anesthesia and unconscious the female nurses in that unit will take turns going and lifting up his gown. I knew a female nurse a few years back and she basically said the same thing. She was a little nuts so I just chalked it up as her being an exception. But I'm beginning to think this is common by female nurses to do that to guys under anesthesia. What do you think from working in the field? I mean isnt that sexual assault to an extent? It certainly would be if male nurses did that to unconscious female patients. Thanks!

Good question. Sounds very sus. That’s women for you, though. Pretty standard for ‘em. Nevertheless, if the shoe were on the other foot, then the would-be male nurses/male healthcare professionals would be going to prison. Really, really sus, though. Me personally, I’d definitely report that once I knew it was true and had proof.

@@SuspiciousFace Men and women have innate advantages and disadvantages. The men would most likely be punished harsher than the women for flipping a patients gown up. It’s not fair but you can’t whine and bitch about it. That’s why I rolled my eyes when the dude said guys usually get listened to more. Guys usually get listened to in leadership roles but women are usually never questioned for sexual assault. Both instances are not fair but it is what it is.

I have a question, if 19 states allow CRNA to practice independently, why have we not see any credible fellowship programs for CRNAs like MDA do such as cardiothoracic, pain management, regional, OB..etc? I know there are 2 or 3 ped/regional fellowship somewhere for CRNA, but they don't have the credible recognition in the anesthesia community?

I would say that the regional/pain fellowships are very recognizable and credible in the anesthesia community. I have a friend in one of them now and it's very rigorous and preparing them in advanced techniques.

They don’t exist because CRNAs are not Physicians.
