Great video Anthony. Your veg patch is the best example I have found on succession planting. A real inspiration.

Anthony, Thank you for sharing your plans for upcoming weeks, it is a real help for me to have seeds on hand or seedlings ready to plant. When it is a quiet time in your garden, I would really appreciate if you were able to share with us your succession planting strategy.

Yeah mate thanks when it rains over 100mls in a day I need to watch out for the flooding from next door. Had to quickly dig a swale in the rain to make the water go around the garden beds

Anthony, great job on your broccoli. I'm also really interested in your planning strategies. My goal is also to have better timing on succession planting so your information on plant timings is great. Keep up the good work. Cheers 😃

Thanks mate I’m thinking about doing a video about my succession planting strategy for my different crops that I have been developing over the last few years. Hopefully I can bring together enough footage to make a video

Thank you for taking on the suggestion of sharing your upcoming garden plans. It's really helpful. I might join you in starting my peppers/eggplants late June.... I normally start about 6 weeks from my last frost (mid September) but I've found sometimes its not long enough to get a decent harvest. Happy Gardening!

Yeah definitely start them early. I have the capsicums planted in the first day of September and I harvest most of the fruit in December then the fruit flies come through and destroy the crop so early plantings are best with an early harvest before the fruit fly strike

You certainly eat a lot of broccoli, great and delicious.🥦The mandarins look amazing and I had 3 beautiful trees along with 2 established orange and 1 lemon tree at my old house. Don't miss the neighborhood but miss my citrus trees terribly. Trying to grow citrus trees out here but too much wind and heavy rains, not giving up though. 🍊🍋🍊

Yeah really love having citrus in the patch. I have 2 varieties of mandarin and imperial and a honey murcott. The honey murcott has been struggling so I have been trying to finetune the fertilisier to get it to grow strong

It’s been the worst year for chickweed. Never had it in any of my gardens before
@sydneybackyardveggies9612
@sydneybackyardveggies9612 Ай бұрын
I don’t mind chickweed I feed alot of it to my chooks but it’s a pain around the peas. You can’t pull them out without pulling out pea plants as well

Another informative video Anthony - how do you avoid the radishes getting too many leaves and not enough radish when you are putting down 24% nitrogen on the interplanted cauliflower!
@sydneybackyardveggies9612
@sydneybackyardveggies9612 Ай бұрын
Yeah I did the same thing in a previous planting and they came out ok as it wasn’t directly watered onto the radish but you are right I might end up with a bunch of leaves! 😀will keep you updated

i enjoyed that. i did splash out and get a Hoss Tools drip irrigation system from USA. Local irrigation places are hopeless and expensive. They expect you to pick all the parts you need yourself. What is that hoe called? I have quite a few wolf garten tools and attachments, but nothing that works like that. most of the time i get by in the garden doing all sorts of things just using a hori hori gardening knife, for weeding, digging up compacted soil, or planting. they're great.

Hey mate thanks. I need to do a video of my irrigation system I just use a weepy hose system you can get from Bunnings and it works well. You are right irrigation systems are a pain to build. The hoe is a standard one I bought from the local hardware store. I like it because of its weight and it handles well in the garden. I use it a lot.
