Seriously? Bucky? No dude. We've been setting him up for a redemption arc. He's already "died" in first avenger (to credit your own point) Sebastian still has a long contract with MCU. There has been little to no development of his character except that Steve cares about him a lot. He's been set up for a very compelling narrative since the main plot if the last TWO cap movies was about his backstory. The Russo Brothers have also talked a lot about their feelings towards the Brubaker cap run which had Bucky serve as the protagonist. The reason he's not been as popular is because he hasn't had a significant role in any way yet. Give us a buddy cop movie with him and falcon and I'm sure he'll grow in popularity. Characters that have completed arcs and would have finality to their death would serve the story far better narratively. Tony is far more likely to bite the bullet. RDJ is pricey and isn't getting younger, the vision he had in Age of Ultron set him up for a heroic sacrifice (which would be a good allusion to the first Avengers film). And killing a main POPULAR character would add weight to the devastation that this story should have. Its a war we need to kill off someone that matters not the little guy who's been nothing more but a punching bag.

Having seen the movie, it's kind of mind-boggling how many of these predictions ended up being wrong.

Because [SPOILER ALERT] Banner has already chosen to become the Hulk for what he claims to be the final time- as he pointed out multiple times in the third installment in the Thor franchise, the Hulk is now so powerful, Bruce Banner's consciousness is buried away for good. Also, if you are paying attention in Ragnarok, for the little time that Doctor Strange is on screen, one can clearly see that he is wearing the Eye of Agamotto, so in theory Thanos will have to take it from him. Finally, as sad as it makes me Cap is 110% dead in Infinity War. Anyone who has read the comics knows that he is living on borrowed time, because he should have been toast at the end of Civil War. I believe it will be his death at the end of Avengers 3 that provides the catalyst to propel the team through the final motions (in Avengers 4) to kill Thanos. My two cents.

Thanos is one of Marvel Comics greatest and most powerful villains of all time, being able to survive (not defeat) a fight against galactus himself. He also can wield all infinity stones, and can easily DESTROY galactus if he has the gauntlet and the stones. Thanos is basically a god, and is extremely intelligent and powerful, capable of wielding the heart of the universe, and defeating eternity, the universe itself without a physical form. The MCU has been building up this immensely powerful cosmic being since 2012. That build up would have been for nothing but a disappointment without having any deaths, especially from a main character. People will die, this is Thanos we are talking about, and it is shown just from the FIRST trailer he already has 2 stones, is retrieving one from vision, is fighting for one in Wakanda, and tortures the Collector for one as well. This is only part one as well. Thanos wont go down without a fight, people will die. Too much too read? Read the fates of cap and Iron Man at the bottom then. here are my predictions Hawkeye - Is absolutely USELESS to Thanos but yes, I believe he will retire, but not die. Scarlett Witch - I also believe will survive because she is still quite a familiar face to the MCU and so I think will live on for Avenegers 4 Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes - This ones fate is quite clouded for me. He has been both a protagonist and antagonist in the MCU, and has been around for the same amount of time as cap, one of the oldest MCU heroes. I believe his Bullet Chamber may not save him this time, or he may take on role as new cap. Adding to that, Seb has been a HUGE character in the Captain America Trilogy and has been mentioned in Avengers movies and is to be a main character in the new movie. He is both caps best friend and side kick to later be turned into his enemy, then to his friend again but not a sidekick, a partner. He has been in every cap movie, making his MCU age as old as cap. So yes, he IS as popular as Chris! He is the Winter Soldier! DUh! (Sorry Frank, but Buck is just more popular than you, even as a soldier and epic gun wielder. try again next time ok?) War Machine - Will most likely live to see another day, but probably not last long after that. Like Buck, he ALSO has been with Iron Man since his first movie, making his MCU age as old as Stark. He has been a main character of Iron Man, and is Starks best friend and partner in the Iron Man Trilogy. I believe the death of Stark may anger him (more on the stark death later on, just read) and cause him to be the MCU's new beloved Iron Suit Hero Ant Man - Will probably not be in it once, and his new movie (Ant Man & The Wasp) Has officially been confirmed, so Ant Man lives to see another MCU Movie. Black Widow - Like War Machine will survive but not last long after. I believe she will slowly fade out of the MCU, instead of dramatically being eliminated. Mantis - Will not be a huge character and probably live to be in the next GOTG GOTG Characters - Will all play a HUGE role in Phase 3, but will all survive. They are some of the MCU's most beloved people and we all love the GOTG movies. Also GOTG 3 is rumored. Drax, will of course, be angered at Thanos and take him head on, but will most likely fail and get badly hurt (not die). Gamora is interesting, I believe she WILL have a verbal encounter with Thanos but will most definitely NOT be a Anakin and turn to the dark side. (Pun Intended) I think she will be angered at Thanos and also take him head on like Drax. Hulk - Will survive. Falcon - Will Survive to be in the new avengers. Black Panther - Is a new face to the MCU and will survive. Doctor Strange - Will not only survive and thrive through the MCU for the next 10 years or so, but also be the new beloved MCU hero, and possibly be Thanos' greatest threat in Phase 3 if not Thor. Vision - SW survives, so Vision survives. [SPOILER] They get married, remember? Thor - I am also unclear on how this could go down. Thor will be one of if not the most greatest threats to THanos in Phase 3 alongside Strange and MAYBE Captain Marvel (Not Confirmed). We also have yet to see about Adam Warlock if he will be in part 2. I do nto know if he will live or die, his fate is clouded. Spider Man - His solo movie was EXTREMELY successful. Though it is obvious he cannot face down Thanos, and it is shown he gets absolutely destroyed by Thanos in close combat, I think he will live on. Finally, we have a successful Peter Parker. Fans love Holland, and they love our new friendly neighborhood spider-man. He will live, but he wont get off easy. Captain America - Although being my favorite official avenger, I believe he will die. And I want him too. I just know it. If there is one death to make Phase 3 really show how powerful Thanos is, to really show the build up wasnt for nothing, its caps. Cap is one of if not the most beloved hero in the MCU, and we want people to be shocked, star struck more like. If there is one death that will make infinity war TRULY dramatic and show how atrocious Thanos is, its caps. I believe Bucky will replace Steve Rodgers as the new Captain America. Or maybe Falcon. Both Falcon and Buck replaced Steve as the new Captain America when he died in different comics. I think Buck is more likely to, though. Falcon is good as he is, and Buck has had quite a build up. Iron Man - Will die. I know it. Its obvious. His death, like Cap, would really show how dark this movie is meant to be. Iron Man has to die to make this movie really complete. It just NEEDS to happen. If the MCU want to really release the power and atrocities of Thanos, they will kill off Iron Man. I believe War Machine Will replace Iron Man for a while, which would be quite cool. We may even get a solo movie for him after Phase 3, which would be nice. But Iron Mans time is coming to its end.

They over complicate this 3 ways to kill Thanos: use the time stone to erase him from time, use the reality stone to erase him from reality, or use ant man to shrink a c4 sneak into Thanos head and get out and blow his head up

1. Hawkeye may be the least favorite avengers but we all love the relationship he has with SW and QS. And his whole family story line. 2. Black Widow is very good. Shes badass in the comics without gear plus gear she'll be even better. 3. Bucky not dieing he has to big of a fandoms and sebastian too most/almost all fans will riot. And sebastian has like 4-5 more marvel movies.

cap will die to save tony specifically, fix their friendship, make the movie emotional, regain his honor like what happened in the dark knight rises to batman, become a symbol of hope honor and america, make thanos look strong, bucky to take his place, fulfill his purpose as a supersoldier, and finish his mission as an avenger. This would make the movie 10x better when this will happen, Tony doesn't need to die he already did his sacrifice in Avengers 1, he will also be the influence to all other heroes and raise Cap's sacrifice to the public and declare him as a national hero. Also, my theory on who will die, either on part 1 or part 2. I believe there will be minor characters who will die in 1 and a major and more major on part 2: Drax, loki, cap, vision (but wanda will be pregnant), any wakanda citizen, maybe wong, black widow, heimdall, Nick Fury.

I bet the mind stone will be ripped out of Vision and in order to save his life, Scarlet Witch will use her powers to create the Solar Jewel and put that in Vision. I think that makes sense because the solar jewel is red like Scarlet Witch's powers and it is the stone in Vision in the comics.

The cool idea behind all of this is the soul stone. In the comics, one could use the soul stone to bring people back to life. For the good guys, they could bring back quick silver, odin and many others. For the bad guys they can bring back many many enemies. In the end, whoever posses the stone can bring people back so if anyone dies it really doesn’t matter?

I actually have a prediction about Hawkeye. Yeah I'll fight you, I've watched Avengers and Avengers age of Ultron screen by screen pausing every shot making notes. Yes I'm a huge Marvel fan, I could sit here and rant to you about Hawkeye's importence to the Avengers, but no I'm not going to do that. I'm just going to explain what I think the future holds for Him. I think he is going to become Ronin, a much darker version of Hawkeye. It has almost been confirmed that he will become Ronin due to set photos of avengers 4 showing him in Japan in a Ronin suit. I'm thinking that there gonna kill off Clint's family and that will make him become Ronin. That is my theory, maybe it will happen, maybe not.
