Thanos was likely just throwing and smashing his way through several Wakandan soldiers and when he went to grab Cap he had a small moment of surprise when the resistance was much greater than that of any other human he had dealt with.

I love when ad reads line up with me needing to step away. Needed a drink of water, ad read started, returned as the read was coming to an end. Reminds me of the days of watching tv with commercials, when you get up and get back as soon as the show came back on.

Abomination isn't in the Fridge and the Fridge is on a sunny beach so presumably not in Antarctica. The cryo-prison that Abomination is in is called The Vault and it's in Barrow, Alaska. But yeah, he is alive and in prison.

I'm gonna be sad if the film doesn't end with the farm scene at the end of the infinity gauntlet comic. That's probably the only bit I'm looking forward to seeing in film form, it just feels like a good ending to Thanos arc and this theme of ultimate power (and responsibility Peter)

I had a thought about the infinity war trailer when it begins we see something entering into the atmosphere it could be thanos' circle ship, but what if it's actually Hulk entering the atmosphere and crashing into the sanctum of doctor strange

That new spiderman suit probably has nanite technology. You don’t see tony carrying the suit and he already has an ironman suit, why not make a spider suit too. I bet its a spider pendant the spreads from his chest. Peter probably catches the suit midair and lands on the ring. Plus the lego toys have 4 legs on spidermans suit. He doesn’t seem to have them in the trailer, so must be nanites. Also you can clearly see in the trailer his suits neckline isn’t cut nicely.

I think that the reason why there are different "team ups" and locations is that a plan to separate the infinity stones is in place, take the Time Stone off world, The Mind Stone in Wakanda, Hawkeye perhaps is with Nick Furry and they have the Soul Stone and that's why Nick Furry is in hiding, explaining why they are out of the marketing as they are huge spoilers to the stone's location and The Power or Reality Stone is taken by Thor and his team, maybe even aiding in his creation of his new weapon and the black order are separated to find each one perhaps which is why we only see them together in one shot as in the comics they also do something similar, ie one goes to Wakanda and dies... I don't know, I am just a guy who should be spending more time not commenting on Podcasts.

I dunno but maybe when steve touched the gauntlet, he tapped into the power from any stones in there. So he was using the gauntlet simultaneous to thanos.

51:30 - in the comics and in the cartoon series the avengers challenge Thanos to fight them without the full power of the gauntlet and he does. In that scene cap probably challenges Thanos to fight him without any of the stones and he surprises Thanos with how strong he is.

I agree with Mason - would have really liked them to at least *reference* the larger world, like maybe having one of the cops commenting about them trying to reach the Avengers to deal with this but Stark is out of the country or something. Maybe throw in a "What about that Spider-Kid in Queens?" reference or something.

I think they hide the vision in wakanda to protect him but thanos was gonna go to wakanda anyway to get the soul stone and its like a 2 and 1 deal Im sure the soul stone has something to do with the spirit world in wakanda

I am in the camp that they edited out Cap's shield in that trailer. A hugely icon scene and you can bet you're gonna see that shield shatter at some point in the movie. Probably towards the end before Thanos straight kills Steve Rogers.

Thanos isnt throwing a punch at Cap. he's putting his open hand out, like he's either trying to grab or touch Cap. And he's(thanos) briefly shocked by how strong Cap is for a human.

I also wish in my little Marvel loving heart that Sold Gold created Warlock with the soul stone. Sold Gold is also under threat and angered by Thanos thinking that they should be destroyed and they send Adam out there to fight Thanos. Then later Carzy Adam Warlock!

Its a good trailer. Doesnt spoil the whole plot like other movie trailers. But then again, youve held out this long and know youre gonna see the movie regardless so theres no real reason to watch it.

Tbh I get why you say that about Jessica Jones but for a lot of the movies in phase 2 you get a feeling of like, “Cap’s a fugitive, why don’t you call the Avengers? Tony, the world thinks you’re dead and you don’t have any armor, why don’t you call the Avengers?”

Do think anyone would ever try out a board game cinematic universe? Not like scrabble and trivial pursuit. More like talisman, mysterium, hero quest, cosmic encounter etc. I know these games are based heavily on books/films/etc but I doubt that would stop Hollywood.

I'd prefer that Steve is holding Thanos' fist out of shear will. I agree that he shouldn't be holding it forever and that Thanos should just batter him immediately. But imagine if Thanos goes to punch Cap, Cap catches his fist using every bit of his strength to hold him back, SCREAMING IN PAIN FROM THE STRESS OF IT ON HIS BODY!, and then Thanos just punches him to death.

It has no support. By night 2 I had a stiff back, and after a week it hurt to wake up in the morning. Also, if you sleep anywhere near the edge it slouches really low. You need to be about a foot off the edge to not feel like you're going to fall off. I also felt like it did get way warmer than a normal spring bed.

Teen titans go is a weird thing. I don't watch it and I have no interest it's a dumb in offensive cartoon that wouldn't have left any mark if it hadn't replaced such a well loved show. It's just so nothing and frankly I find that way worse than being horribly bad because at least when something is horribly bad it stands out. Anyway I won't lie it's existence makes me sad sometimes because the old series never properly wrapped up but alas even having all the voice talent they aren't going to give it a crack and I have no ideas what the writers are doing now.

Honestly Jessica Jones felt like a slog to me. Trish's whole Hellcat arc felt wasted and out of place, Malcolm's turn over to Cheng's company felt out of character from the Malcolm we saw in the second half of season 1 (and his character development felt like it was just 1:is a tinder bloke and 2:is motivated by his cock. Hogarth felt rather stale considering her wife was murdered by her ex mistress who is filing a lawsuit against her, a bit of emotional trouble that would stay on par with the fact that her wife was under mind control and it only happened because she wanted to be selfish and use Kilgrave to get rid of her problems. The whole of Defenders had ZERO bearing over the story AT ALL and the whole IGH plot felt so watered down and ripped off from Weapon X that it wasn't anywhere NEAR as complex as season 1 set it up to be. Also Jessica apparently had no problem with finding out her mother murdered her boyfriend, the event which left her emotionally broken and ruined her life to the point she still has the jacket she stole with him and wears it every day. It could have been so much better and I don't know what went wrong (also having Trish just straight up assassinate Alyssa, it was nowhere near the emotional moment they set up.) All in all, you can probably skip this one unless you care about Hellcat's origin I guess

why didn't she call Iron Fist for a job? Early in the season she is groveling to Hogarth (who she doesn't like) for a job as a P.I. for a corporation...uhm...Iron Fist owns a corporation. and he owns a corporation that is more likely to need someone with her "abilities"
