Avoid These Supplements in the Morning to optimize what you are getting out of your vitamin and mineral supplements. If you’re using supplements like vitamin E, potassium, HMB or glutamine, or b12, magnesium, vitamin A, omega 3s, L-Phenylalanine, taurine, the timing of when you take these supplements can be very important.
When should I take my supplements is an important topic covered here. So if you’re wondering which supplements should I take at bedtime and which supplements should I take in the morning, it’s important to understand the optimal timing of different types of vitamins, minerals, and nutritional supplements.

Many people work graveyard shift that's like working from 21:00pm to 06:00 am , so night starts at 7am for many people, how can a person who works on these shifts adjust when to take or not take supplements? It can be difficult for many many people including night doctor, police, firemen, pilots, taxi drivers, and numerous other people who work in logistics, manufacturering. For people like that it can be difficult to adjust too or actually know when the most perfect time to take minerals, vitamins, or even when to eat this or that food.

I do what’s best for me which is take vitamins with a meal before I leave for work (when I get the chance to actually have a full meal) and then I’m snacking nonstop at work which is no good but do I drink more fluids at work because I’m sleeping during g the days I should be drinking fluids. A mess I tell ya.

Vita E and Glutamine are curative not to be taken in the long term as they promote insulin resistance, I know from experience. Glutamine did completely heal my gut issues but I stopped taking after 6 weeks at 1000mg a day. You will get plenty of vita E in cold pressed canola oil you don't need to supplement, but only cook with tallow, butter or Ghee. Use the canola oil like cold pressed olive oil as a topping only in salads and cooked vegetables together with apple cider vinegar as a classic Greek salad dressing.

@@KickItNaturally I understand that testing would be the most accurate approach, the greater frequency, the greater accuracy, the greater precision. Absolutely no doubt about that. But absent that, I think a body generally knows what it needs and will take it up and the rest will be disposed of. If I make sure I take reasonable doses (not mega-doses) of necessary supplements, I'm OK with peeing out the excess and wasting a little money versus being deficient. It's not practical for me to pay for the regular testing versus paying for the excess vitamins in my toilet.

I don't put much stock in this. If a person is deficient and needs a supplement I don't think the time of day matters much. They stay in your blood for a while and have to get digested. Morning is easy. Otherwise, people will forget to take. I do take magnesium before bed but that's about it. B's AM, D3 w/K2, NAC all am. NAC 30+ min. before first meal. Far more important is what time of day did you go to THE GYM TO WORKOUT! Or a hike- outside. Did you get a full 7-8 hours of restful sleep. That is key- not so much what time you pop a pill but hey, do what works for you.
@KickItNaturally
@KickItNaturally Жыл бұрын
Says the guy who is likely sleeping just fine. When you look at an insomniac, the timing of supplements can be a HUGE deal. Here is our video on why magnesium at night is a mistake: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bNh0oZyDsJqXk5c.html Read through the comments on that video and you'll see all the people who saw improvement once they changed the timing.
@MOAB-UT
@MOAB-UT Жыл бұрын
@@KickItNaturally Wrong. After my brain injury w/PCS, I do not sleep fine but Magnesium helps. Everyone is different. Like I said, do what works for you but what truly works is working out hard in the daytime. MOST people will then sleep well at night.
@MOAB-UT
@MOAB-UT Жыл бұрын
@@KickItNaturally You also should not carve out special cases after my comment. At no time prior in the video did you mention that special use case (insomniac.) Maybe that is true- I have no idea. Ok, then if turn-about is fairplay- for people with mTBI's, the relaxing effects of Magnesium before bed can often help. I can go on for days. I am not saying there is no truth in what you are saying. Maybe there is to some degree. I just think it is less than you are suggesting. That and MUCH bigger factors you did not mention are consistency (compliance), working out and nutrition and general wellness (being happy, positive, social, etc.) In the Blue Zones they don't bother with many pills, let alone stress over what time of day they take it. They live nearly forever. So there is that. What says you? All this aside, and I like a good, productive debate, I do respect you and like your channel. You share great information. Again, I am not saying you are wrong- just throwing out some food for thought. You assumed I sleep well so I had to set the record straight. Never assume something about people you don't know. Shoud I assume since you were by trade a comedian, you khnow as much about health as a doctor? Probably not. In reality however, I think you likely know a lot more when it comes to general wellness (vs. pill pushing.) Namaste.

@@MOAB-UT Yeah that "sleep fine" comment was out of left field and not mentioned. He also made a huge assumption about some one in his comment section that he knows absolutely nothing about. And his sarcasm is totally unnecessary. I mean, you just wrote your opinion and experience with what works for you and even qualified it with, do what works for you. His saltiness indicates he's not interested in discussion, just those who agree. That being said, I find this info interesting, but I've gotten so overwhelmed with information overload at this point, I've developed disordered eating habits, digestive issues and collected a shit ton of supplements I don't take. I think for me, it's time to listen to my own body for a while before taking in more "technical" info at the moment. And btw: sorry about your TBI. I have complex trauma along with having had a head injury in high school. I think when those injuries occur it makes it so the person responds so differently than most others people, to everything, including food and supplements. Thanks for your comment. Help me see what this dude's like when it comes to a simple disagreement. Take care.

@@wordivore Thanks. I was taken a bit aback by his saltiness. Maybe he is just having a moment. It's all good. I do respect anyone who dedicates their time and life to general help others. I think he still adds value and most of his info. I have watched seems good. Sorry you have your challenges. A great book is called Young Forever- Hyman. It's excellent. I like the audio version. There is also a connection between physical and mental health. We have an issue, then we get anxious. Docs then throw many pills at us that generally make us worse in the long run. This is in their best interest as it makes them more money. They are in the TREATMENT business. Not in the prevention business. How severe was your early head injury? That can leave lasting changes. Is your general health and nutrition on point? You can very likely work your way back to great mental/physical health. I make no assumptions about ethier since I do not know you.
