The definition of success can be interpreted differently from one person to another, yet we still continue to compare ourselves to others. The DCE Method consists of three elements that acts as a reminder to individuals that we all are running in our own race, and that we all have our individual paths in life. Devina is an undergraduate exchange student studying psychology from Indonesia. She is currently studying at the MET College of Boston University under a fully-funded scholarship from Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. She developed a huge
interest in positive psychology and is hoping to conduct further research in the area for her final thesis presentation. During her spare time, she loves to play sports, do journaling, and read self-development books. Her life motto is just as simple as to dream, believe and achieve. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

TLDW: everyone has an inner drive to evaluate themselves and compare themselves to others. Comparing yourself to others can potentially be detrimental to your mental health. It’s impossible to remove comparisons entirely, but the DCE method can help. D - define your success (ask self discovery questions, what interests you, your goals, etc). C - create your own opportunities and commit to your goals. This forms your own frame of success. E - enjoy the journey. You will face challenges, but adversity helps you grow as a person. During this process you should not compare yourself to others, but instead invest in the opportunities you make. Cheers

I want someone to do this to all tedx videos. This is an accurate description, what tedx does is clickbait.
