If all they want is an attack helicopter, sure. This heli offers more payload capacity and options for payload, potential to carry personnel unlike invictus. The aft fans and coax design in this aircraft adds the potential to fly faster than the Invictus though I have no idea what the top speeds of each aircraft is.

The Raider X accomplishes more.

@@Mediiiicc True but FARA is suppost to be a scout helicopter replacement. The FLRAA contract is more the personel carrier and in that case the V-280 Valor stands as the clear choice. The Raider is promising better specs than the Invictus but only time will tell with the Raiders final design compaired to Invictus.

That 360 seems like a good choice to take over the mission of the Kiowas but a poor choice for anything else. There is no extra capacity to carry passengers. The weapons bay is not that large. The Raider X seems like a step up. This AVX comes next. Then the Defiant X seems like the most capable. With a range double that of a Blackhawk and a speed double that of a Blackhawk it would be hard not to choose if they had to choose just one "multi-role" helicopter. I could envision the Defiant X could also be "reconfigurable" to carry troops, configured as a gunship, or configured as an attack helicopter.

@@michaeljorgensen790 The Defiant X and V280 Valor are in competition to replace the Blackhawk. I really like both designs and their capabilities. The V280 will be just a bit faster than the Defiant, but it takes up a lot more room too. It can't get into some of the smaller landing areas the Defiant can. As for the Invictus and the Raider X, I liked both of those too. But the Raider X is way more flexible, and capable. The Invictus is struggling to meet the FARA speed requirements. Bell has already changed the Fenestron tail for a regular open tail to try and reduce weight to achieve better speed. There is just no way possible for the Invictus to match the speed advantage of the Raider X with its current single main rotor/tail rotor configuration. Bell will try to win this with simplicity and hopefully a lower cost. But if I had to my life on the line to fly a helicopter, I want the better helicopter, not the cheaper one.
