After overconsuming one awakening video after the other and meditating all the time, I had reached at a point where I understood that " ok it' a game but I am here to play this game...."

It seems like you’re ultimately describing the importance in balance. Where as we relax deeply into the present moment, and manage to go as far as being able to continuously recognize the thoughts as just the thoughts, and continuously relax back into the presence. There is still a primal part of us, like energy, that needs a direction to go towards. And it is at this point where we can manifest that energy into something we align most with. In a lot of nondual teachings that I’ve seen over the years on KZfaq, they often gave me the impression that we were supposed to just simply be here in this moment, living purely spontaneously and always with the contentment of just being. And if we just dedicate ourselves to no longer identifying with anything, that life will take care of you. But through self inquiry and through constantly trying to find the right solutions, I feel like my discoveries relate to what you’re sharing. Which is that despite being present and actively remaining here, the subtle feeling to direct my energy towards a particular goal or purpose, and the urge to orient myself towards the kind of life that I want, is all a natural part of being human. To put more simply, it’s ok to both be aware of the bigger picture, while nonetheless living a human experience and using our awareness to make the most out of what we can do here right now. Part of living the human experience involves a sense of need, like the need to survive and explore. By honoring these human qualities, there seems to be balance. But am I understanding you correctly?

At the beginning of my awakening I became totally nihilistic, I don’t like the system (governments, schools, etc) so i became bitter with the world and i think a lot of us go through it and after some time you get tired of feeling bitter and you start to live your life but without a care, at this point all I want is peace, health and enough money to live comfortable but I also find peace in not being attached to material things and I know that nature makes me feel peace, a good view on a park makes me feel peace, big winds in the middle of trees give me peace, a good sunset gives me peace! It started as a coping mechanism and now I actually enjoy it and need it, stress kills so I don’t really be stressing anymore as i used to, I totally let go and im not scared of death so that is liberating

Keep in mind, Angelo went to medical school immediately after his awakening to no-self. There is nothing incompatible in realization with following your interests in the relative world.

Awakening means realizing that everything is just an illusion, it starts with you, and it ends with you. What you experience is your imagination. And life is just an imagination. Once you realize that, you also understand that you can literally invent the kind of life you want. Unawakened ones create their lives according to the picture they are getting from the outside, staring with education and everything around us... I call it unconscious creation.. But being awake means being conscious. Therefore, you realize that you, and only you are responsible for your life, not the government, not the science, not the parents, not the society, but YOU. You ten become GOD, you become LIGHT, and that is the exact purpose of life. By becoming light, you influence others to seek that which you have found... Understand, that you can create and manifest literally anything you want. That, obviously, requires a lot of inner work, and going through darkness and facing your demons and unlearning as that is the part of experience you have to go through to LEARN from it. And by learning from it, you'll understand yourself and life.

Ye, thank you for the video and i can say for me it is hard also to just accept that only meaning is what we create, it creates no willingness to create a meaning, you just see other peoples programs and just observing but maybe feels a little scared to engage with others because the may see your programs and not being ideal too... Mind... i understand you bro, I'm on the same path and I'm trying to be the most authentic as possibly can, the most self inquiry person, I want to have fulfilled life too and I'm asking myself if I'm doing actually the right thing by being this way, I can say I don't know and I don't know may scares me actually. You may be already seeing by just reading what I just said that no matter of how much words you read, how much knowledge you possess, no matter what I write you, no matter how much support you can got from me, only who can help you is yourself... and this also applies to myself. the only thing that will end suffering in your life though is to see dukha and to CHOSE in the moment, to stop it. That's the only action you have to do to end suffering.

pondering a person's purpose one's own purpose, "...at the fundamental nature of our being, I start at the definite absolute evidential aspects of myself. I was, am born with legs. .Basic purpose > to walk, to run. to be in motion, a spatial environment was foreseen in the engineering of me. ....with eyes. Basic purpose to see, to look. to look at what? ... with a structure that creates sound, a voice. a structure that is intended to create speech, language with what, with whom was I intended to speak with? .... hearing is intended to accompany speaking. the process of hearing is a tapping on my eardrum, a drumming, which has, is the sound of your voice and the words you speak. the drumming transfers to ripples of the liquid in my cochlea, inner ear, on the other side of the eardrum membrane. the ripple transfer to a swaying of hair like growths along the inside of the cochlea spiral tube, then transfers to brain cell generated electical impulses, while at each point of transfer, the sound of your voice and words are integral, are the same as when they were drummings, as ripples, as swayings. then we interpret tranlate process in milifractions of a second and reply. that is our primary language, all of ts are fluent in spark speak. purpose, function. which came first, structure or function? : -). Then we have not so evident structures with functions that together create a me, an us. with attributes of... self temperature regulation, a balance in all aspects of my me of as a state of being, self aware. All as purpose, intention of design. why> coz I need that design for being and interacting with...??? Or is the purpose of the design to initialize possibilites of as in being??? As I continue to ponder, I am in awe about the absolute certainty that I am, You are, We all are Magnificent Masterpieces of Divine Design. "...fundamental nature of our being...," ...to be : )

Your awakening helps others too on an energetic level. So not purposeless.

There is a point in realization when all this can't even be held onto, even the notion of purpose doesn't really make sense. Same for purposelessness, making one or the other statement just feels unecessary. Actually there is a sort of inability to even construct that, like you can't fool yourself anymore in believing that its real. Though of course there is nothing wrong with it and I'm sure it can be a great tool to some, the bodhisattva vow itself drips of purpose and many ancient traditions do, but what is being pointed to by by those teachers you mentioned is just beyond that. Its beyond holding any view, including the view that says "all views are false" which can be a sticky one that can definitely be picked up around those teachers which you did mention. Its just like they recite the heart sutra in a thousand different ways in a lot of those no self videos. And in my experience the notion that all views lead to suffering does feel true, it will always lead to neglect or ignore the other side of the coin. Rather than the middle way.

So is the idea that nothing we are doing defines us, but if we are doing things then accepting that fully is the same as acknowledging the unknowableness of this?

Thank you for this. But isn’t living one’s purpose a natural result of dissolving blocking beliefs and letting repressed emotions come up? That’s definitely something Angelo is pointing to. But I get your point that in the non dual community one can easily get the sense that everything in form/thought is meaningless or even wrong

Ignore the haters

We do not mature properly in our culture it has very little to do with awakening. People don’t have deeply fulfilled purpose driven lives and then awaken and become depressed and purposeless.

Awakening is just that. Do nothing that is useless. If you want to follow something then do it. , you’re free. Your taking description and ideas too much. Just go do your thing and fuck these teachings. They are great and valuable but they are not the way. Only the way is the way

The reality is, only the political Third Position can save this generation and at the same time give it a purpose

Follow your passion find your prupose. If awakening is your purpose great! continue with it. follow the excitement you'll get there. awakened in 2011. Can't suffer and be selfrealized. you already picked up the ego again if u did that.
