(Edit 02/22) Bare in mind these openings are roughly a gold rank standard (my rank at the time) I plan on remaking these at some point with my new preferred openings as a platinum player.
Here are my personal move preferences as the Britsh.

Some criticisms: 1) I believe in Turn 1 Japan will not consolidate its fleet in Japan as you said, but rather bring the entire fleet to Burma including land troops. You failed to destroy the fleet in SZ61 so they are free to do that. This will allow massive pressure on India as well as threaten your fleet there. 2) Spending IPCs on an aircraft carrier and industrial complex in Bornea etc will totally relieve pressure on Europe for Germany, allowing it to focus on Russia with only US (eventually) to contend with. Great video though, enjoyed it!

I like the strategy of moving the 2 spitfires into west Russia instead of non-combating them up to Iceland then over to Moscow

That's only possible if Germany doesn't take West Russia back.

I used a calculator and that British attack on the Japanese fleet is around 58%. A little too thin for my liking but a fun strat if it works.

Agreed. Different calculator, but still only 63% success, with 5% margin. So basically 2 out of every 3; of course that assumes you can get the fighter from Egypt involved. Dropping that fighter gives you only a 1 in 3 chance. That said, I think any kind of KJF requires that JP battleship to be gone. If we assume many players will either: a) do Pearl Harbor light or b) pull back to SZ61, then that will buy time for UK and/or US to build fleet & transports to get down to South Pacific. And that is a lot easier with the assets and IPCs of the Indonesian fleet to be gone. FWIW

Do you still like for the UK to focus primarily on Japan? You said in your new "7 Tips" video that you think the Allies should adopt a "Germany First" strategy, so I'm guessing you now believe that the UK should focus more on Germany.

Nowadays I focus entirely on Germany. The main idea for me now is to secure India as well as possible, while setting up a system of transports that each round are dropping troops off into Finland. This combined with a system of US transports into Morocco mean there is a constant flow of allied forces moving towards India/Russia

@@manix429 Sounds like you've totally changed your strategy since you made these videos. I look forward to seeing the new ones!

Sometimes if Germany is doing good in Africa I build a complex in South Africa because Britain can't afford to lose much money

Do you have games where Russia falls but The allies are able to come back and win?

Rarely but it does happen. I uploaded a video two days ago called capturing Germany and Japan in 1 move. I'd lost Russia in that one but came back. There needs to be a serious counter attack elsewhere if Russia falls otherwise its so tough

I had one game, though against the AI and not a player, where that happened. I lost Russia. But, GE over committed to USSR and Japan played badly. US had already taken Manila and Shanghai. UK held on to India. Then, in the final round UK took Paris; the US came up from Morocco to take Rome; and the US took Tokyo. Then the round ended on Allied win.

Interesting that Germany left France totally undefended in that game. I know exploiting that would have distracted from the point of the video though.

How come germnay didn’t take Egypt in the first round, whenever I play Britain, the German player always manages to take Egypt.

If you play the Larry Harlow variation, which is what it is used for ranked games, Russia would take Ukraine in the round 1, killing the German bomber. It's improbable to take Egypt then.
