You can do it man, i just rebuild my 02 civic ex v-tec engine with manual transmission. and i changed all the barings from the transmission shaft too.i know nothing about engine but i did it and everything went fine so go ahead and do your thing.just pay close attention to what you are doing and look where you take stuff from and look at the bolts size and where you move them from and put them where they come from. B series are easy drop in. K series are where you got to switch over alot of stuff.

@@2_2_4_3 USA drivers seem to have a hard time changing gear both up and down because you have automatic gears from a young age

@@yeshua9323 my first car was a automatic 1974 Volve, my second was a manual 1992 Civic DX coupe . I learned by jamming all the gears and burning my clutch a bunch of times racing. Eventually I was able to go through the gears smoothly but my second gear was grinding by then. LOL

Always pull or install the engine with the harness and it will be very easy.

This is vtec for ya haha. I drove a b18c spec r EG and each time I hit vtec the fuel needle dropped a quarter in a couple seconds. The thing is : it goes up again after a couple minutes it actually doesn't use that much gas

@@123212vtec this setup did not last long due to bad block. Crank lining wasn’t straight and locked up mains. But check out my other videos of new setup. Made pretty good power there.

@@2_2_4_3 Well you're right. A b20 low compression is about $400. A high compression b20 is about $500. I'd say go with the high comp with itr cams. Should get close to 200whp with a race header and 3" intake w/velocity stack.

@@itsatrap4986 use a 3 inch custom exhaust pipe and a Type R intake Manifold, and if you can get bigger injectors 440s and tune it. . You'll be very close to 200 or right at. I make 201 but my header has a leak and my exhaust pipe is 2.5 so im a bit restricted. My B20V is fully built with the head minor ported. I should get another 15-18 whp fixing that.

Your going to need any chipped OBD1 ECU. Stock B20 ECUs are OBD2. You also going to need very good base map or you’ll have to get it tuned. Do not drive on stock ECU..! Too lean

Stock B20v 190whp but with cams like I did on mine you can make up to 240whp.

So did you run with a b20 block. Or can you run a dohc over a different block? Meaning the heads are interchangeable?

Brandon Bentz You can run b16 or GSR head over any doch block like b16, b17, b18 and b20.
