Dance choreography and metal has never seen before and an important part of this is thanks to Mikiko-Metal (aka Mikiko Mizuno) she's behind another famous Jpop group called Perfume and is very well respected sensei with her own group of dance Eleven Play, she was behind Olympic Games ceremony. And the mastermind behind this madness is KobaMetal. This MV isn't actually live version and not even with the usual Kami Band, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. Back in the day, before 2014 mainly, they used to have this backing band called "baby-bones" air playing instruments wearing this skeleton costumes, they didn't have the budget to afford a high level set of real musicians like they have now, so progressively since 2012 they incorporate the real band and leaving the baby-bones behind, they did a great job supporting the girls and giving a show, so shout-out to them for being part of BM story. This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, so it's actually 10 years ago, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for _"Babymetal Death"_ They're just singing about wanting to eat some chocolate but they worried about the weight just like any other regular girl, there's not so much hidden message behind, they used to have fun songs like these without so much deepness on the lyrics just to have fun and party, but the brutal contrast on this is remarkable, no doubt about it. ⚡ 💀 💕 / 🍫 💝 This footage is from the 'LEGEND 1997' concert, held December 21st, 2013, celebrating the 16th birthday of the lead singer, Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto, or Su). "1997" is her birth year. The two younger girls, Yuimetal (Yui Mizuyno) and Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) were both 14. The BABYMETAL members are very aware that their initial impression is often "What the Hell?". They compare that to what they thought when they were first introduced to metal music. This whole concept of combining JPop music with Metal could have been a disaster, but the quality of the singing, songwriting, choreography and staging take it to another level. 'Gimme Chocolate!!' is definitely one of their "poppier" tracks. They have been joined on stage for this song by members of Korn, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and DragonForce. Not all at the same time though. : ) Pretty much every song is different. They believe that if any song sounds too much like it's from a single genre, then it's not a BABYMETAL song. I hope you keep going. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

But it is chocolate, it would be so nice and they would be so happy, so can they just have a piece of chocolate please? 🍫🍫🍫 It is one of their fun songs. This was the official video so the audio was from the studio version, but it was filmed at the same concert (Legend 1997, Su-metal's 16th birthday party in December 2013) as the performance of 'Headbanger' that you watched last time. This was the video that went viral early in 2014 and got them a lot of attention internationally - which also helped when they started to tour outside of Japan later that year. For your next reaction try 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (call it IDZ, it means Bullying, No More, For Ever) live at Sonisphere UK 2014. This was their first time outside of Asia, their first time in the UK, their first major event outside of Japan. Aged 16 and only just turned 15 they were faced with over 50,000 UK metalheads who didn't know who or what BABYMETAL were and those crowds are brutal if they don't like a band. The vocals (and the choreo) are very kawaii indeed. But the instrumentals are raging metal, played with very distorted and downtuned guitars. It's a mix between some thrash and industrial metal vibe. Pretty brutal in my opinion... if that was what you were asking for. 😊 That totally intended extreme juxtaposition of genres is the point of the song and the reason why it's a "WTF" maker. 🤘🦊

I'm a guy that grew up in the 80's- the Golden Age of Rock and Metal, imo. This band is phenomenal and they do a great job of blending the voices in with the metal and this song is definitely an ear-worm.

Hi Parie. First just wanted to give you a complement and say you're very pretty. That out of the way, I'm glad you're enjoying these ladies. They truly are an inspiration to many people. I've even read comments (can't verify they are true, but don't see why somebody would lie about this stuff) about how people were in the process of ending themselves through self deletion when they heard Babymetal for the first time and it changed and saved their life. For me personally. I value these young ladies a great deal as they have helped me through some very dark roads as well. So I owe them a huge thank you at the very least. They will always have a special place in my heart because of how much they have helped me. You are going to find when you read through the lyrics of a lot of their songs that they spin a positive message for people. Babymetal as a whole wants to try and improve people's lives through their music. So they enjoy singing about good things. You'll notice they also don't sexualize themselves. They truly act like ladies SHOULD act (in my opinion). They are humble, kind, loving, funny, self-thinking, and hard-working. They put their heart and soul into their music and it shows. They love their fans, and it shows. They love what they do, and again it shows. You can tell they love doing this because they work so hard at it, they don't drink, they don't do drugs, and they keep in top shape so they can survive their concerts since it must be SOOOO tiring performing at their concerts! Anyhow, one of the comments mentioned that you should be prepared for a lot more happiness and tears. They weren't kidding. There are a few songs that are quite emotional and have a good chance of making you tear up. Su-Metal is quite good at conveying her emotions when she sings and when it is a sad song, you FEEL the sadness in her voice. You'll hear her voice break in some songs as she herself has tears coming down her face as she sings the song. So I look forward to watching your progression through the Babymetal catalogue. PS. Who cares if others give you crap about the Headbanger song name. The way you say it sounds a lot cuter anyhow lol

Hello Parie, I will subscribe because I'd like to encourage you to seek the world outside your comfort zone. Whether you will listen to more heavy metal (I hope you will) or not is really inconsequential. What is more important is that you follow what you love doing, put your head and heart to it, practice a thousand times like your life depends on it and then practice even more. When I watch Babymetal, yes I love their music (you MUST watch and react to Megitsune..it was written to empower girls/women like you 🙂). But more than my loving their music and performances, I have a deep sense of admiration for the courage of these teeny-tiny ladies, and their perseverance to put all their energy and efforts to something they love. I still challenge anybody that says the girls are nothing but pop idols. These ladies work their asses off to give us 100% enjoyment every single time they have performed for over 13+ years now. There are very few bands let alone heavy metal bands that can match the dedication these ladies have for their craft. So Ms. Parrie, I hope you will continue your journey to the Babymetal Fox Hole. Momoko was the only “Avenger” (see below) to perform in the “10 BABYMETAL Budokan” shows in 2021 and was officially named Momometal and made a permanent member in April 2023. She deserves the spot! Fun Fact: Momoko's father is a popular comedian in Japan known for making dead-pan jokes. Momoko worked very hard to make her way without using his name as a crutch. BLACK BABYMETAL: Yuimetal and Moametal performing as a duet while Su-metal takes a breather. Also known as “MoiMoi”. There are 4 BBM songs (GJ!, Onedari Daiskusen, 4 No Uta\Song 4, and Sis. Anger) some of which Moametal performed solo a few times after Yui's departure. Now that Momometal is a member, we are hoping for more BBM songs with MoMoa! But only the Fox God knows. AVENGERS: 3 Dancers who took turns performing the choreography in Yuimetal’s spot after her departure. They were not official members did not have microphones and were not even named. I know why you did that but there are better ways of going about it. At the Karen Girls final concert is when Kobametal (Babymetal's producer) decided he wanted to start a metal group with Suzuka Nakamota as the lead singer. Yui said it was dream come true that she finally got to perform this song with Su-metal. Yui had a family member that was in the hospital and to make her happy they played this song at the hospital. Because of that this song is very special to Yuimetal.
