I have accepted the Western Kami Band since they toured with Babymetal. Most of the Western Kami Band are from Galactic Empire except for the drummer who plays for Shadow of Intent. The audio is from the Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2 in Makuhari Messe Japan. The Western Kami Band line-up: Chris Kelly - Galactic Empire (Guitar Kami). C.J. Masciantonio - Galactic Empire (Guitar Kami). Kagerou is one of my favorites. It's a relatively ordinary song from Babymetal but that's ok by me. It's got a great groove to it. I'm glad you found one with the intro solos. That was the 'western' Kami band. The guitarists are from the band 'Galactic Empire' and the drummer is formerly from 'Shadow of Intent'.

Great & welcome back & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。I believe this is a compilation from 4 shows (2018 Download festival UK, 2019 The Forum USA, 2019 Saitama Japan and 2020 Makuhari Japan). The audio is from 2019 The Forum where West (American) Kami band was in the girls' back. They are great, too. This "Kagerou" (formerly and tentatively known as "Tattoo") was premiered in USA for the first time in 2 ways. As Su's solo on May 8, 2018 and in 3-girl formation on Sep.4, 2019. Japanese fans could not see the performance live and had to wait until Nov. 2019. In addition, this song has been performed in USA approx. 30 times but in Japan only 7 times. Why ? that's not fair! I love this song!

I say that about Syncopation. If I could I'd trade you a few of our Kagerous for a few of your Syncopations. 😂 I really like both songs.

Nice reaction. There are a whole lot more BABYMETAL songs for you to discover yet and they are all different. I don't think you have seen 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (Bullying, No More, Forever - you can call it IDZ, everybody will know what you're talking about). The performance from Sonisphere 2014 in the UK was their first major event outside of Asia and is a very special one for many reasons which will no doubt be explained if you watch that version.

⚡ 💕 / 🌡️ 🔥 The opening solos were by the "Kamis from the West". Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio were on guitars, Clint Tustin on bass and Anthony Barone on drums. There was footage of both Riho Sayashi and Momoko Okazaki as supporting dancers. This song was known as 'Tattoo' back when it was a Su solo song in 2018. That's how it was listed on the setlists on stage until it was officially titled 'Kagerou'. For some reason they included a confusing second or two of footage in this compilation from the 2018 tour.

I sometimes think the lines about not believing, And you still don't believe and I believe. Could be a message to someone who isn't with them anymore. It was a thought I had when I first saw the lyrics to the song. I know they don't write the lyrics but whoever does sure seems to know what they want to sing about. When a member leaves and you do a song about not believing it sends a message. I'm not so sure about it anymore but when I first heard it, I did.

@@stevechevy3382 That's an interesting interpretation. I'm looking forward to Prof. A.J. Hartley getting to this one. The lyrics for 'Kagerou' are by MK-METAL (Miki Watanabe), who has been working with BABYMETAL for quite a while. He has also written lyrics for 'Gimme Chocolate!'!, 'Awadama Fever', 'YAVA!', 'Amore' and 'Road of Resistance' with Koba (plus other contributors on some of those songs), aong with 'Megitsune' and 'No, Rain, No Rainbow' without Koba, but with other writers. The music is from Yuyoyuppe (aka DJ Tekina, etc.), who arranged 'Megitsune' and was involved with the music for many BABYMETAL songs, especially on the first two albums.

@@rickwagner- I've watched a lot of Prof. Hartley's videos. I didn't realize Miki Watanabe worked on so many Babymetal songs. It would be interesting to me to see a video of his thoughts on the lyrics. I know many times lyrics become up to the listener and are wrote that way. But here it would be interesting to find out what input he gets if any from Babymetal for lyrics. Like do they give him a theme or does Miki write the lyrics and they pick songs they like. Does anyone know how Babymetal works that out?

@@stevechevy3382 From what I believe I read in some interviews Koba does give the lyric writers themes to write the lyrics about. How specific those instructions are we do not know.

Western Kami Band killin it here, one of the few song with Kami Band intro and even more few with Western Kami Band. Also one of the most -sexy- song and dance from Babymetal, just watch our girls shaking it, yeah they're not little girls anymore and you can see it on this one and during Shine or Brand New Day

I think this is adult love song, but If Su- & Moa had already experienced this kind of romance and expressed this song, I would die in shock. I don't want them to experience such a painful romance, expressing in this song, haha. Thank you from Japan.

Kami band East more playful and out there.. but god the West kami is tight. So technical and just don't miss anything.. Killing it!!.. Such an amazing base for the girls to build off... and slay!!
