Nice double reaction! Divine Attack was released last month, followed by Monochrome this month. We will get another song from their upcoming album in January, February, and March next year before the album “The Other One” is released on March 24th 2023. Babymetal will also hold 2 shows at Makuhari Messe at the end of January next year.

Great double reaction. I’ll provide a short comment as the professionals are sleeping, but will be here. Monochrome is going to top my list of favorites. Granted, it was not on my first hearing, but it grabs you and once combined with the lyrical meaning and visual; well I’m sold. If Babymetal were to disband today, I’d be satisfied.

The Other One is the name of the new album, it is advertised as being the other side of Babymetal, The One was how Babymetal defined themselves and their fans, The Other One is the newest iteration. DA was released last month and Monochrome just this week, there will be no releases December but we get another in January February and March with two shows at the Makuhari Messe at the end of January and a tour of Europe as guests of Sabaton beginning April. The Album will be released in March.

Your Japanese language skills are excellent. Even as a Japanese, it is difficult for me to read the notation of those lyrics. As you said, "Bokura" is a masculine noun. In song lyrics, even women sometimes use "Bokura". Female characters in manga and anime sometimes refer to themselves as Boku. This may be a way of shifting the phase of their own fixed identity, and the discrepancy is what makes them attractive.

Long time no watch. You haven't missed much - BABYMETAL have been "sealed" (not playing live shows) and the seal won't break until the end of January 2023, when they have two big shows in Japan. If you have the time/money, they'd be good shows to see. They follow that with an arena tour of Europe supporting Sabaton. Their fourth album, THE OTHER ONE, will be released at the end of March 2023. It's a concept album exploring an unseen side of BABYMETAL. They have been teasing snippets of music and visuals for most of the year and their fan club, THE ONE, has been re-branded as THE OTHER ONE. It seems very unlikely they will get a new third member as they continue to promote themselves as a duo, but never say never when it comes to BABYMETAL.

Hey, this was a really good reaction content-wise, but your sound levels almost made me click out a few times. The music audio was way too low. At such low volume it is hard to really appreciate what you are referring to when you comment on something within the song. It's a pretty easy fix and probably just an oversight (it was early).

Hi, Dec. Even though Divine Attack - Shingeki - was released a month ago, on Spotify if I play Monochrome "from album" then it will play Divine Attack as the following track. So you might have serendipitously listened in album order. The new album, "The Other One", is due in late March. Three more singles due before that. Two nights at Makuhari Messe in late January.
