In this video we've got the bike back from Track Electronics so discuss some details on the dyno and mapping work. There's a couple of admissions on my part too 🙈.
We also give it it's first oil and filter change now its run in, re-adjust the new chain now it's bedded in and check the wheel alignment with our laser kit.
Then talk through some other features of the Yamaha R1 power modes once we've customised the ECU maps.

Sorry for the delayed reply guys, I don't get too caught up in dyno figures as they vary dyno to dyno. On the particular dyno I use with the rear tyre that was fitted at the time it made 190bhp before any mapping then once finished it made 200bhp and 82lbft of torque which is exactly what I'd expect. With a race tyre on that dyno it would be around 205-208bhp. On some other dynos you may see anything from 195-215bhp+ from this spec bike.

Is this power figure to wheel or at the crank because you mention bhp not whp

@shobhitsingh7416 wheel, nobody in the UK really refers to crank hp with regards to motorbikes. General concensus is motorcycle bhp figures are "at the wheel" whereas in the car world everyone tends to quote badly calculated crank hp figures from a chassis dyno 😅

🤣....check out my introduction video.....after nearly 24 years in the trade it's just my personal preference. Bike lifts annoy me but I fully understand why people might think I'm strange for not having one.
