Love the game, but Larian really needs to introduce some dialogue for Minthara on the "good" playthrough, and maybe some hints that she can be recruited. I tried recruiting her while saving the druid grove, and currently it makes zero sense that she is in the team together with Halsin, as she doesn't even acknowledge his presence, let alone initiate dialogue with the protagonist on why he/she decided not to kill her.

This should not be cut. It's a nice conversation to have.

This makes more sence for the Dark Urge if You think about it. With Goblins you enjoy killing them, they are pest anyway, but something about Minthara shows that You don't want to left her suffer as a mascot, just like the Urge was.

Here would be my reasoning: Ragzlin and Gut would be poor allies even without the tadpole. They're all evil but Minthara is a more practically minded evil

I've recruited her every time & never gotten this option. It was always the "skip the Goblin/Tiefling conflict entirely" option of "why come to Moonrise at all?"

The amount I would pay to have this datamined content restored, knocking Minthara out during the Grove fight is the most natural way to recruit her IMO, I dont know why they would leave it out.

This is something that interests me constantly too. How can a good character strive to save her, specifically her, without knowing in advance about her obsession and the fact that she doesn't control herself?

Well the interesting thing is that Larian did plan to have Mincs and Minthara as Origin charakters.

Actually, are there any hints in game that she's different from the other goblin leaders or that she can be recruited? I killed her because I honestly didn't realize it was an option (also it wasn't an option on a good playthrough back then anyway).

I had something similar to this trigger on a dark urge play through where Minthara asked the dark urge to explain itself as to why it chose to slaughter the grove, when free of influence, whereas she only was going to do it because of the absolute. I responded with the option “I wanted to impress you”. Minthara laughed and it lead to a romance.

Why not Gut or Razgolin? Well, Minthara they are not as good looking as you.
