This video is after 2 weeks of almost constant printing. Some recommendations for maintenance and its print quality. I'm loving this printer for sure.

I have the P1P and the X1-Carbon. The X1C is an amazing printer, but you have to consider, that it is way louder than the P1P. There are two fans more, for the Power supply and the chamber. They make noise like a jet engine, you need definetly a seperate room for operating the X1C.

Good tips! I service semiconductor equipment for a living. Some of the equipment I service have very similar linear guide rods and spindles - the germans that designed the equipment always told me to keep the rails and spindles very lightly greased. I use Isoflex nbu15 on the rails and spindles (“screws”). Been at it for over 20 years now and haven’t had any failures on hundreds of tools that were kept on a PM schedule. However, I HAVE had to replace guide rod assemblies that were not kept on PM schedules… Take it for what it’s worth. I really enjoy my Bambu printer - especially because of my profession, feel like I had the machine learning curve kicked real quick. Thanks for your time and vid. 👊🏽👽👍🏽

I use hair spray for years over bare aluminum plate for my Creality printer , never had issues. Waiting to received soon my x1 carbon and try hair spray on it. Nice video, I will lube all before using the printer. Thank you

on textured bed, i only use dawn dish soap, works fine with no glue.

Everything worked fine with me too but for only a few months. I then started to notice some warping and print failures. I also use dawn to clean, followed by 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and then a thin layer of glue and it works great.

People! DO NOT USE GLUE ON THE PEI PLATE! If you are printing PLA or PLA+ the stock P1P plate does not need any glue. Make sure the correct plate is selected in the slicer and if you have issues do 2 things. 1, increase the temp of the bed to 65c and 2, turn off the AUX fan for all prints unless you enclose your P1P.

The coating on the Bambu plate loses adhesion over time, please don’t criticize something that works. Turning off the aux fan or increasing temp doesn’t work. Different things work for different people. I’m now at 4 months and now have 2 printers and use glue on both. It works.

A textured plate should not need glue...but nothing is sticking to mine now and its been almost 2 weeks. I Increased temp still won't stick. Tries turning off the fan still didn't work either. Adjusted layer height width nothing.

@@supermanscott You are correct, it shouldn’t need glue but after some time, these lose adhesion and glue stick works great. After a layer, it lasts for 10-15 prints. You do what works.

Thank you for your review and tips! I've had my X1C since December and I LOVE it! I do notice it's developed some rippling, on print...especially noticeable with PETG. Have you noticed any ripples or "ringing" yet? I'm going to oil the pulleys as you suggested after I make this comment. Thanks again.

Isn't the light supposed to be installed one level lower? It is not shining on the printed element but from the above on the head

Yes, you are correct. I installed this when it first came out and that’s where the instructions said to install it. This has now been changed to install it lower, level with the bed.

Wanting to get one of these i am always repairing and buying things for my current prenter. Is there much of an upkeep cost for this printer?

If you maintain the printer properly (regrease exis screws, clean carbon fiber and stainless rods, and oil bearings) not much at all. I went about 4 months, printing a lot, until I noticed a slight degrade in printing. I replaced the hot end ($35) and I was back up printing like new.

@@darren990 Select bed type “Textured PEI Plate”, then “Generic PLA” and “0.20mm Standard @BBL P1P” and it should populate the default settings.

Hmmmm all your Bambu Lab prints are matte. Whouldn't it be a better comparison to print shiny surfaces on both printers?
@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY
@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY 10 ай бұрын
I didn’t have any more silk filament at the time but you can clearly see a comparison but those aren’t matte, they were all regular filament colors.
@hasserecht3678

@@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY Just crank up the temps on the Bambu then. The probleme here is that matte surfaces deflect light and therefore hide imperfections better.
