@@jacobsamorodin9937 This song was meant to bring awareness to the world of mass suffering. At this time, it was primarily famine in Africa. Now, it is man-made disasters worldwide. My point is, we have made it collectively worse. I always do what I can, but collectively, we are failing.

38 years later and this song still rules at this time. To see Sting, Bono and Simon Le Bon standing together like that singing together will never be replicated in today's world. Enjoy that the fact they are still singing today and sound great. The 80's are and were the best decade. There will never be another one like it.

Agree, David Bowie is awesome and very missed. Bono's vocal are powerful and send chills as well. Very powerful singers. I love watching Duran Duran's John Taylor pulling on Andy Taylor's hat near the end of this video. John always liked to joke around. In the video Rio, John pushed Andy off the sailboat. Luckily Andy swam enough to survive that! Those two are like brothers, yet none of the Taylors in Duran Duran are related.

@@stephaniebaker2960 I agree with Bono, we need reality and reality isn't pretty. We must face the truth and how harsh it is. Just like abortion, which is unneccesary and brutal. Bono singlehandedly gave this song urgency with his line, and made me think of it as a serious matter instead of an average pop song! Bono delivered the key to make people not be so selfish and consider other's lives. It's the message this song was created for, to make people think and be aware. The same can be said of abortion, be considerate; that's someone's life.

It's 36 years later and if we ever needed another Band Aid, it's now in 2020. The division, hatred, pain and suffering is beyond comprehension and it'll take much more than a Band Aid to cure it but it would be a great start.

it would be a big push towards rearranging people's minds to remember that we're going away from our hearts and mind's true belief, that we all were once united with Love, compassion for one another and Peace was the rule of the land all around the world.💏

I never noticed that this version was not only longer but different by the way that the voices are more isolated. George Michael and Simon Lebon are not overlapping in the transition, Sting has his solo moment, and we hear more of Boy George’s voice, whom arguably have the greatest voice in that song, with the ever great George Michael. Boy George literally gives me goosebumps. He’s so in it, he’s owning the song. Legends! ❤

The verison we all needed, As year by year goes, this track will always remain as one of the most legendary Christmas tracks ever created, and what a legacy it has! As literally there's one month left till Christmas, no better time to play it than now, one of the very few tracks that'll never get old, no matter how many times you play it, and still hits the heart, and the same since its release. Amazing how many iconic legends we have collaborating for this iconic hit. Phil Collins with his legendary passionate drumming skills, George Micheal, Sting, Boy George, Bob Geldolf, and many more! Sad to see that we're slowly losing them one by one, but lets all be grateful. All the best, hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Feliz Natal, and Happy Holidays! 🎄☃🎁👋

This version is by far the best and should have been released as the original. Boy Georges voice was incredible in this version. I loved everyone else, except for Sting, he didnt do that great. This is why the 80s will go down as the best era in music. Some of the most naturally talented people came from this group. George Michael for example (God rest) didnt even need any type of tune or autotune, his voice is naturally phenomenal. Same with Boy George and Simon LeBon, most of them. Same thing with USA for Africa. Both great collab of 80s greats!!!
