Very nice battle report, but im curious why sauron rolled one ring save after GG wounded him twice. U should roll this one for every wound that could casue him being removed from battlefield :D

I think Sauron is underpowered. Considering his points. Yes he has a lot of saves but he never seems to do a lot. Only 4 attacks. Doesn’t get a Monterey’s charge (or am I wrong?). No brutal power attacks (or am I wrong??) No re rolls when casting.

Why no shield on Gil galad? Gives him one extra defense for low points. D8 comes it quite handy.

How come GG and elrond didn't resist the chill soul on their horses?

A few orc captains or shaman to immobilise the heroes would have done more than Shelob. Or a troll for hitting power And the seige bow was a waste!

Sauron can Transfix Gil Galad 18" away on a 2+ with a free point of will rach turn, he only has 3 will and no resistance to Magic. You could have kept him trapped or bled his will for at least 3 turns. Also storing Might to keep Sharon alive rather than bleeding out the Elvish Might feels like the wrong call. Because reduce all those Heroes to no Might and Sauron has the advantage against literally anything on the table and far greater staying power. Sauron with no Might and all his wounds is far more durable than both GG and Elrond with no Might and all their wounds. Equal Fight values between GG and Sauron and Sauron can transfix GG, the Elves can't do anything like that in return. Sauron with Rend is wounding on 3's, the Elves on 6s or 5 bys. Basically in an attritional contest Sauron is superior in every sense if you just play it cool. He's basically Saruman who is also a Troll Chieftan. Keep him back, drain resources then beat everyone up. Charging a spellcaster straight into combat against heroes who *want to fight* just dosent make any sense. Also Shelob is an amazing assassin against heroes if you give her a babysitter but she's a bit wasted on regular troops unless the aim is to get a throw down the flanks or something . If you run this list in future try this, keep her as counter charge security for Sauron, keep her a long way away from him but just in movement range. Even better if you can place some obstacles in between her and Sauron because she dosen't care about them. Gives you more attack dice to throw, if you win the combat against anything that's not S7 she's throwing 4 S7 strikes with re-rolls and Sauron 8 S8. Very few models survivng that.

Your not supposed to reveal the objectives when playing Fog of War are you? You identified each other’s terrain pieces at the start of the game - you know what the other person is going for. Kind of ruins the mission in my opinion.
