As a European, i don't even understand why people eat that stuff. Why do you people think it's food? Even if you like fast food,, there are way better options here in Europe. That family owned snack bar on the street corner is 100 times better quality, they actually use fresh ingredients that are recognizable as food. I can spend 20 Euro at McDonalds and still be hungry. I spend 10 Euro at the corner snack bar and i had enough fast food for at least a couple weeks. And it actually taste good. I can understand children wanting the toy that comes with the happy meal, but why would you eat that crap when you're an adult? Why would you eat bread and meat soaked in chemicals? It makes no sense to me.

Bill Burr has the timing of a great boxer. A lot seems improvised. But I bet a lot of the delivery and vocal inflection is so well rehearsed that it looks like he’s just making it up on the spot. Truly one of the greatest comedy minds ever. So many genius comics come from the Boston area.

Nah, he just picked up a mic one day and was instantly great. No need to practice(yes this is sarcasm). His crowd reactions during his bits are improvised and made up on the spot, the rest(the material) obviously, is rehearsed.

Bill is hilarious. On a serious note, I had a stroke while mountain climbing, over the following 10 days I continued having strokes until they finally stopped them, I came to paralyzed and partially blind with no memories. The next year of bed ridden therapy and meds caused massive weight gain, once I emotionally stabilized, I set about turning things around, it took several years, but while being a paraplegic (1 arm & 1 leg) with no strength and limited vision, I lost over 100lbs. So I get snotty when an able bodied person, drinking a 44oz soda, says 'I can't help it, I just can't lose weight'

I have been doing the work and losing weight for 2 years now. It is amazing how people do not understand that you are getting the shame and ridicule when you are doing the right things. Not only you get it just the same, but it hits much harder. The reason why it is said by comedians and internal thoughts: it is delusional to ignore factual information to deal with your own frustration.

I got up to 348 pounds. I lost over a hundred pounds in one year and people were astounded. They asked me how I did it and I told them I just ate like a normal person. That's all it took. I didn't starve, no special foods. I did pretty much cut out all sweets but I ate 3 solid meals a day and occasional snacks. The weight fell off. A nutritionist once asked me how much I ate a day in calories and she wasn't that surprised when I told her 8 to 10 thousand calories a day. I had a very active job and walked several miles a day carrying an extra person around basically. It takes a lot of calories to maintain that much weight. I dropped my intake to about 3 thousand calories a day and in 12 months lost 110 pounds.

Ive been watching Bill for a long time and bit hits home for me but it's still hilarious! I was born in 1965 and my taught me how to play soccer! I started in 1972 and played competitively up until 1986. Im 5'6" and I weighed probably 140lbs. very fit, endurance, big thighs, but not super muscular! As a soccer player we weren't concerned about our pecs and biceps, and in my family my mother fixed great healthy meals( lots of chicken, fish, veggies, fruit, and we also had our share of burgers, etc...) because we were an athletic family we pretty burned everything off. It's 1987 and I move out of my parent's house and I'm on my own making my own decisions some good some bad. What isn't known is that iv'e been dealing with anxiety and depression from being teased and bullied from kindergarten all the way through high school. When I started my journey being on my own I started to eat fast food exclusively until roughly 12/2023! My highest weight was 255, I have diabetes, and a blood clotting disorder that doesn't allow me to eat things that are high in Vitamin K if my INR'S are not at a therapeutic level between 2-3(I'm on Warfarin) So, I've had doctor's, family member's, and friends trying to get me to eat better, but for some reason it didn't click. Rougly 2 months ago I was ordering a burger, got it home, but i was curious as to how much sodium was in the burger, 2000 mgs. of sodium! From that point on, I haven't been to a fast food place or eaten out, had a coke, etc... I've been very meticulous in what im eating now; currently I'm 236 pounds and about 38 for my BMI. In high school my waist was 29" now it's 41"! Slow progress, but it's progress nonetheless! With Bill and this bit I'm still able to see his points, not get mad, and still be laughing hysterically! Thank you for helping people like myself!

To be totally fair, it's possible to not be fat eating a lot of McDonald's (or any other fast food). Several years ago, I changed the way I ate based on four simple words: less sugar, more protein. I still ate fast food, but I didn't get the fries or the desserts, only the sandwiches. When I started this new approach, I weighed somewhere between 225 and 230 pounds. Within a year, I was down to about 185, all just by changing my eating habits without additional activity. I still eat the same way, with fast food twice a day most of the week, and am currently sitting at about 175. Moral of the story: McDonald's doesn't make people fat, people's choices make people fat.

Skinny people can have normal cutaneous fat and look skinny, but have high visceral fat, which is more dangerous since visceral fats produce enzymes that causes inflammation, among others. Visceral fat are fats that surround your internal organs and not visible externally. Better to get that measured, just to be sure.

I totally agree with him, being a middle aged and overweight I am not proud of gaining 50lbs, which I did during covid due to anxiety blah blah, and I got lazy, being heavier makes things harder, like bending over to cut your tonails, going down the long escalator to the metro, getting out of the lyft car, and so on, and get you stinky quicker because of your skin folds sweat, being overweight is no fun for anyone, it's a matter of discipline, no one is to blame but ourselves, hopefully I can find discipline in my life .🤪

Bill Burr is savage at times is why I enjoy his work.. He speaks the truth. I often ask when Americans become so thin-skinned?..... Some of the best advice I have ever heard concerning weight loss is exercised based.. Put your hands on the edge of the table and push yourself away..... Bill views the world thru different lens.... Some folks cannot handle his humor!!! Have you two seen and heard Bill's wife Nia? She is a funny lady.... To answer the McDonalds question is to order some water. Water has 0 calories and zero sugar..... Plus it is good for you. Bill gets your attention with his words and questions..... He reminds me of some of my favorite comedians - Rodney Dangerfield and George Carlin... They tell the truth.... Diplomatic is not Bill's thing. He is about the truth, no matter how harsh it is.

America has slowly become thin-skinned. It comes with no conflict for years. For example, in the middle east, there is conflict over there, and they have more important shit to deal with. Meanwhile, in America, nothing is happening comparatively, so we make up our conflicts and our shit. Humans are naturally looking for conflict. We've been doing it since the beginning of humanity.

I can verify the relative cheapness of fruits and veggies. Maybe it is where I live, in Southern California, but fruits and veggies are pretty inexpensive, no matter the store. Going to places like Albertsons and Sprouts, I spent maybe $25 total and got a whole bunch of it. Apples, Oranges, Bananas, Strawberries, Blackberries, Blueberries, Red Leaf Lettuce, Cabbage, Mushrooms, Radishes, Yellow or White Onions, Celery, Carrots, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Green Onions, etc. Enough for 7 to 10 days. About $3 per day spread across breakfast, and lunch or dinner. I think the main issue is the 'prep time' because I did have to spend several hours washing all that and cutting it up into things like salads, or dicing them into smaller pieces to be sprinkled or eaten like snacks. Most people don't want to do that. That is why processed, boxed, or bagged stuff is so popular. You buy them and can immediately start eating them.

I was 57 years old and I went from 245 lbs to 165 lbs and decided to gain 15 back to feel comfortable. I also haven't had fast food or soda in over 15 years.

I jus believe pertaining to Bill's delivery is that he's from a different era and also it's a east coast/ Boston typa thing. There's no time for having feelings and being politically correct

I need him as my personal trainer. Shame me into shape. No frigging excuses. Only problem is I'm afraid that I would corrupt him and he would be 260 before he knew what hit him.
