He's not super fast, but he is one of the best and smartest baserunners you will ever see. I've been a Pujols fan since I saw him in his first spring training game as a rookie trying to make the roster as a Cardinal. He tore up spring training. He is a consumate professional, a great competitor and teammate, but like most latinos, a little thin-skinned at times.

MLB should take a page from the NBA. Leaving the bench especially to participate in an altercation is a fine and a suspension. In MLB leaving the Dugout or the Bullpen to participate in an altercation should be a one games suspension only the manager or acting manager and the trainer should be allowed to do that.

Easy answer. Brett Lawrie had a history with the Royals that time for taunting them. Everyone in the stadium and in the "know" knew he was about to get plunked. That's baseball. You stand up for your team. The Royals waited until they could retaliate with no warnings issued.

Spot On!!! I've never liked any of those guys.... especially Gomez!!! But there are a couple others that I might have added to your list too, like former pitchers Hunter Strickland, and Julio Teheran just to name a few! I've never been a fan of Cubs catcher, Willson Contreras either! Just my two cents! You had some great choices though-

Interesting thought about that 2nd clip. Gomez never actually needed to step on home plate because the catcher was blocking the runner's baseline path without possession of the ball, therefore he is automatically safe.

@@jefftickleschitz1265 oh yeah, and its totally legal too. I did it in little league once when the catcher missed the pitch which happened to be ball 4 and he thought i was stealing home. I wasnt sprinting or anything, but I just acted as if the catcher didn't exist when I was jogging to home plate and layed him out, should have seen the look on his face when the ump didnt call me "out" and had to explain to him it was a walked run. Lmao

I wonder what the outcome was. As Gomez was block he should have gotten credit for a run. I would have given him the run and an early shower if I were the Umpire. I would have given the catcher an early shower to.

Machado throwing the bat is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in professional sports. You could literally kill someone, or seriously injure them. Absolutely no place for that in baseball. Manny is a phenomenal talent but he’s also a lunatic.
