Hi friends,
In today’s video, I will be introducing the seasonings I’m using for my Japanese cooking, the products that you see here such as Japanese soy sauce, Japanese sake, mirin (sweeten sake), Hondashi (fish-based flavored powder), brown sugar and the bonito flakes are the basic seasonings I use. **You can of course use other brand that you get can in your country.👍
I hope you find value in this video, and I hope that you’ll like, share it to your friends and family, and please consider subscribing to my channel. I really like learning different food from different countries, so I hope we can be friends here on this platform and learn from each other. Thank you so much for watching and see you soon (mata ne)😊
Kitin
** And to my friends who cannot use sake ( sake is Japanese rice wine ) or mirin (mirin has alcohol, too) - you do not need to use these. I am simply showing the seasonings that my husband’s grandmother taught me to use in her dishes.
I appreciate your understanding.

Very helpful video. We like Japanese food and recently we discovered several asian stores with Japanese ingredients, so I know now what should I look for. And also, I really appreciate that you narrate your video in English. I know that your roots are in Philipines, you live and work in Japan and you narrate in perfect English. Standing ovation, my dearest friend! You inspire me quite a lot. Thank you. Have a great weekend 💛💛💛⚘️⚘️⚘️

My dearest friends, you just don’t know how much your words made me so happy. I did ask my children about which language I should use here on my KZfaq videos , I do speak English, Japanese and Tagalog, my children asked me to use English since they don’t really speak my language. And it’s also been one of my ‘worries’, but in the Philippines we really use English and Tagalog. Actually, I am writing about this topic as we speak and I would probably post it sooner. Again, I really appreciate you for your kind words ❤️🥰🌸🌸🌸. Have a great weekend.
