Hi friends,
Today I will share my family’s favorite Japanese rice salad, it is so easy that I hope you’ll share it with your family and friends.
Gomoku Chirashi sushi ingredients:
For this dish I cooked 5 cups of white rice
1 carrot- cut in stripes
Abura age or thin fried tofu- cut into stripes as well
20-30 grams of hoshi shiitake or dried shiitake soak into 400 ml of water
*Don’t throw the water as it has the taste you need for this dish
3 eggs
Dash of salt
Nori for garnishing
50 ml of sake
50 ml of Japanese soy sauce
3-4 tablespoons of brown sugar
*You can also use mirin if you have- then lessen the amount of sugar as mirin is really sweet
Tips while cooking this dish-
-Make sure to cook your rice first
-prepare a wet kitchen towel while cooking the eggs to control the heat so you won’t burn the eggs.
