I need to hear that, do you have any big events in NYC any time soon? How much power/amps does this system need to run at full power? Do you use a power distro? What was the total cost if you don't mind me asking? Do you have any vids with this system ? thanks

pdidyp Thanks for the comment! Currently working on some possible events in May and June I will keep you posted. Still haven’t been able to run the full system at full volume. We shook so much dust loose in the main ballroom of a hotel that it set off the optical smoke alarms and then had the volume police on us the whole night. For power I currently have adopted 2 motion labs rac PACs for each stack that are 208v 3 phase 30amps each leg. We break that out into 6 120v single phase circuits- 3 for each stack. This is above what is required to run it. Bassboss recommends a 20a circuit for each pair. That’s at full tilt, ideally split each circuit with one sub and one top so that the power requirements are staggered as in the tops hit and then the bottoms hit with traditional electronic music. This keeps the demand on the breaker lower than having 2 subs together. That being said, this system is extremely efficient and actual power usage has been lower than expected. Once the weather finally breaks here we are looking forward to running it outside so that we aren’t limited to what the building can handle. Coming from a 10x yorkville ls808 system, it’s a whole different beast when you play down to 27hz. It gets into the bones of the building and shakes things like never before. In the hotel, I got a text message that a glass of water on the 7th floor was shaking like the scene in Jurassic Park when the T. rex is coming. Total cost of the system with super thick padded covers and carts for the subs was about $46k. More pics and videos to come soon!

Wow, that's a really good idea to stagger your tops and subs as I usually pair Then together. I learned something new today thank you. I also used to use a similar Yorkville System as yours but active 801's, now I'm using a jBL VRX900 Active system and need to figure out some power distribution before summertime. thanks for the information on the motion labs rac PAC. I've been following bassboss for a while now and you have the exact system I would like to upgrade to so I definitely need to hear it but in the meantime I will wait patiently for your pics and videos :)

pdidyp Right on! I actually scored the rac PACs used for cheap, if you keep an eye out they are out there. Hit me up if you want a rental for any events, I’m sure we can work something out. Bassboss just released the MFLA too! Really want to hear them, looks like it’s similar to an arrayed pair of dv12’s but horizontally with the horns rotated to keep the same coverage. Hopefully going to be adding a lot more content/ gig logs to our channel this spring.

yea the rac PAC im looking at is a lil over $800 so used is good for me lol. When i notice you're from Jersey I was already thinking its a good excuse to do a rental at my next BIG event. Didnt know about the MFLA, checking now.

DJTEDDY507 It’s 50lbs. per cabinet how can that be 100? Just common sense to stack them on the pole instead of lifting a pair of dv12. Then of course it’s pole mounted on the Bassboss sub, I would not trust a tripod speaker to have a couple of vertical mounted speakers.

you can't get away from the weight if you want a solid enclosure... Light = Shit. There has to be a certain amount of meat to the cabinet.
