Knuttimmering is the style of log building my log builder friend and I built in Jämtland Sweden between the fall of 2012 and assembled it during Midsommar in 2013. This is a how-to on the insulating of a traditional log building with moss and it's assembly.

Hello. Great video! In Russia when we build "BANYA" or sauna we usually do less height of door openings to decrease heat losses. A man cant even go straight through the door - everybody has to duck down. And windows are small also for the same reasons.

The west zone fire office conducts prescribed burns through the Chequamegon out of Rhinelander, WI. It helps spur diversity and encourages growth of a variety of flora and fauna which have adapted to the forest fires that had been naturally occurring unabated before the areas were settled. It's interesting to think, from an environmental standpoint, that a forest fire is a necessary thing for the propagation of certain species.

OOPS ! my mistake--my brain confused the Shawnee in southern Illinois with Chequamegon in Wisconsin.STILL doesn't explain how that t-shirt ended up in Sweden tho...
